I’mjustsaying.是句相当神奇的话。
它只有短短的三个词,用法却五花八门,可以在不同的场合下表示不同的意思,起到不同的效果。
一、当我们因为说了一些不中听的话而惹恼(或惹怒)听话人的时候,我们可以赶紧说句“I’mjustsaying.”来安抚对方的情绪。
它的潜台词是:
I’mnottryingtooffendyou.I’mjustsayingwhatIthinkisthetruth.Pleasedon’tbemadatme.(我不是故意要冒犯你,只是说出了我认为的真相而已。
请不要生我的气。
)
二、我们有时候不一定是因为说了不中听的话而惹恼对方,可能是在讨论严肃话题的时候,突然开了一个类似“脑筋急转弯”的不着边际的玩笑。
虽然是出于好意,但对方没有听到想听的话,多少还是会有点懊恼,这时我们也可以说一句“Iamjustsaying.”安抚对方的情绪。
三、不愿意承认错误的人经常用“I’mjustsaying.”来搪塞对方。
他/她其实已经知道自己错了,只是觉得直接说“Youareright.(你说得对。
)”太没面子,所以才会说“I’mjustsaying.”。
