Thereportshowedoverallenergypricesup5.7percent,withgasolineup9.3percent.Inaddition,foodprices,anotherrecentdriverofinflation,wereup0.3percent.
Theso-calledcoreCPIwasup0.3percent,eventhoughthatmorecloselywatchedmeasurestripsoutthevolatilefoodandenergyprices.Economistshadforecasta0.2percentrise,whichwasthesameincreasepostedonOctober.
Amongthecoreitemsseeingpricesjumpwasclothing,wherepricesjumped0.8percent,andmedicalcare,whichrose0.4percent.Itwasthelargestone-monthjumpinapparelpricesinmorethannineyears.

委婉语主要有两种:

夸张性委婉语是将原词语替换成意思更文雅、更体面或更重要的词语。

2.合成。
1)有两个或两个以上的单词组合而成。
2)由单词或字母加上数字组成。
3)由两个或多个单词的某些部分组合而成。
3.缩略。
1)首字母缩略。
2)用某些发音相同或相似的字母来代替一个单词乃至整个句子而形成的缩略形式。
3)对两个及以上的词语分别进行缩略。
4)引申词义法。
