ininvertedword-order.Suchaword-orderiscalledinversion.Weuseinversionfortworeasons.Onefortheneedofthegrammaticalstructureofagiventypeofsentence,theotherforemphasisofacertainpartofasentence.Inversionhappensinquestions,andinanumberofothercases.Therearetwomainkindsofinversion.Insomecasesthewholeverbesbeforethesubject.Thiskindofinversioniscalledfullinversion.Andinmostcases,anauxiliaryverboramodalverbesbeforethesubjectandtherestofthepredicateverbesafter.Ifthere'snoauxiliaryormodalverb,“do”“does”or“did”shouldbeadded.Thiskindofinversioniscalledpartialinversion.Now,let’smakeasummaryoftheinvertedcases.Pleaselookatthescreen.Inthesecases,thewholepredicateesbeforethesubject.
