Throughouthistory,peoplehaddreamedaboutjoiningEnglandandFrancetogether.EvenNapoleonhadaplantodigatunnel(隧道)andreachEngland.OneofthefirstpeoplewhotriedtodigatunnelundertheChannelwasaFrenchengineercalledAlbertMathieu.Histunnelfailed.
