Asawidowwithayoungchildin1979,Mrs.CooperwashelpedthroughadifficultfinancialtimewhentheFoodBankprovidedherwithgroceries.“Shedevotedherlifetogivingback,”saidherdaughter,MonicaCooper.Itwasn’tunusualforalocalchurchtocallMrs.Coopertoaskhertoaidaneedyfamily.“Shewouldgivepeoplefoodoutofhercupboard.Sometimeswewouldcookamealforafamilylivingintheircar,”Coopersaid.
