LONDON—ABritishjudgeonThursdaysentencedabusinessmanwhosoldfakebombdetectors(探测器)to10yearsinprison,sayingthemanhadn’tcaredaboutpotentialdeadlyconsequences.
ItisbelievedthatJamesMcCormickgotabout$77.8millionfromthesalesofhisdetectors—whichwerebasedonakindofgolfballfinder—tocountriesincludingIraq,BelgiumandSaudiArabia.
McCormick,57,wasconvicted(判罪)ofcheatslastmonthandsentencedThursdayattheOldBaileycourtinLondon.

serviceinHongKong,thearmyinEgyptandthebordercontrolinThailand.
