1、can和could(could为can的过去式)的基本用法
HecanspeakEnglishbetterthanyou.
CanthisgreenbikebeLiuDong's?
Where can (could) they have gone to?
He can´t (couldn´t) be over sixty.
How can you be so careless?
Youcan(may)gohomenow.
CanIgonow?
Couldyoucomeagaintomorrow?
Hewillbeabletodotheworkbetter.
Couldhehavesaidso?
----Whendidyouanswerherletter?
----Onlyyesterday.
----It'stoolate.Youcouldhaveanswereditearlier,Iamsure.
Accidentcanhappenatanytime.
Itcouldbeveryinterestingtodooutforadrive.
The temperature can fall to –60℃, that is 60℃ below freezing.
He can´t (couldn´t) have enough money for a new car.
You mustn´t smoke while you´re walking around in the wood. You could start a fire.
He could swim across the English Channel. But he didn´t feel like it that day.

2、may和might(might为may的过去式)的基本用法
Youmayusemydictionary.
----MayIusethisdictionary?
----Yes,please.
MayIhavealookatyournewcomputer?
----Mayweswiminthislake?
----No,youmustn’t.It’stoodangerous.

Thestorymaynotbetrue.
