Gatsbyisborninapoorfamilyandhisparentsareunambitiousandunsuccessfulfarmers,buthenevertakesthemashisparentsforamomentinhismind.HeisindulgedindreaminghissuccessfulfutureandfirmlybelievesthatheisthesonofGodandtrieshisbesttodevotehimselftotheGod.Intheessentialstageofhislife,Gatsbyiscompletelyambitiousandcourageousandheisinnocentandignorantatthesametime.Hemakesstrictdailyschedulesforhimselfsuchaswhentodophysicalexerciseandwhentoread,whichaimsatimprovingphysicalandmentalhealth,sothathecanachievehisgoalspreferablyinthefuture.Heendowshimselfwithgreatdignityasifhedoesnotcomefromapoorpeasantfamily.
