Abstract:
ThisthesismainlydealswiththeroleofbodylanguageinprimaryschoolEnglishwritingclass.Thewriterfirstintroducethedefinitionandthecharacteristicsofthebodylanguage.Next,thewriterexplainsfourtypesofbodylanguage.Then,thewriteranalysesthefunctionofEnglishwritingclassofprimaryschools.Finally,thewriterconcludethatbodylanguagecanhelpmakeupforthedisadvantagesoftheteachingwritinginprimaryschools.Itwillenhancetheenjoymentofteaching.Bodylanguagehasbecomeanotherwaystrengtheningemotionalcommunicationbetweenteachersandstudents.Thus,bodylanguagewillgreatlyimproveeffectsofteachinginclassandstimulatestudents’interestinlearning,andultimatelyhelpimprovestudentswritingskills.

Bodylanguageisconveyedbysuchpartsasgestures,eyemovements,facialexpressionsandposture.Anditplaysanimportantandcomplimentaryroleinthecommunicationofverballanguage.Asanewteachingtoolintheclassroom,bodylanguagehasalsobeenwidelyused.ItnotonlyplaysaveryimportantroleinEnglishwritingprocess,butalsotogiveadeepimpressionforlearners.Inexplainingsomeofthemoresubtleorabstractlanguageconcepts,thebodylanguageplaysanimportantrole,anditcanalsomakeslearningEnglishnolongerboring.Whentheteacherspeakssomedifficultcontents,theywillloseinterestandconfidenceintheprocessofEnglishteaching.What’smoretheywilllosecuriosityofthirstforknowledge.Underthecircumstance,theywillbecomefrustrated.Iftheteachersusethemeansofbodylanguagetofacilitatetheteaching,studentswillunderstandquicklyanddigestdeeply.TheintuitiveteachingplaysaveryimportantroleinmodernEnglishteachingprocess,itwaswithoutanyrestrictions,canbeusedanytimeandanywhere,teacherscanaccordingtodifferentfacialexpressionsfromtimetotime,bodyclothesandsoontoarousestudents'attention.AlsocanthroughoutthewholeEnglishclassroomteachingactivities.
