“Modsnake” isarobotthatwasmodeledonsnakes.ThisrobotwasdevelopedbytheCarnegieMellonUniversityBioroboticsLab.Itismadetomovelikeasnake,soitcanpassthroughnarrowspaces,moveoverallsortsofobstacles(障碍物),climbpoles,andevenswim.ThewayModsnakemovesmakesitusefulforavarietyoftaskssuchascheckingforsurvivorsinfallenbuildings,findingdamagedareasinsideofpipesandcleaningupoilspillsinlakesandrivers.
