1.1Motivation
Therearetwomainreasonsforourchoice.
First,theconstitutionclassgivesusalotofinspirations.Inthefirstconstitutionclass,theteacheraskedusaquestion.Shesaidthatiftherearetwostudents,onecomesfromcity,andtheothercomesfromcountryside,theyarebothhard-working,andtheyhavethesametalent,butdoyouthinktheyhavethesamechancetogototheuniversity?
Somestudentssaidyes,andtheotherheldtheoppositeview.Later,teacherexplainedthatthetwostudentsshouldhavehadthesameopportunitytogotouniversityintheideal,buttheydon’tinthereallife.Thatrevealsaproblem:
Theruralstudentsenjoyunfairtreatmentineducation.Itismoredifficultforruralstudentstoenterakeyuniversity.
Second,mystudyingexperiencemakesmeinterestedinthistopic.Iamfromasmallvillage.AndIstudiedinasmallprimaryschoolinourvillageforfouryears.Atthattime,ourdeskswereveryoldandourwindowswerebroken.Wehadnotanysportsequipment,exceptfromtwoping-pangtables.Besides,wedidnothaveprofessionalteachersofartandphysicaleducation.So,itwasveryordinarythatourmathwastaughtbyP.E.teacher.Undersuchacircumstance,manyofmyclassmatesdidnotdowellintheirexams.Andtheyhadtodropoutofhighschool.Asaresult,reallyfewstudentscanentertheuniversity,letalonethekeyuniversity.
1.2Purpose
Wehopethatthroughourresearch,westudentscanknowmoreaboutthecurrentsituationofthetertiaryeducation,andmorepeoplecanpayattentiontothisissue.
1.3Methods
Inordertoperfectresearch,wechosetwoways.Thereisnodoubtthatwesearchedtheinternet,forit’sconvenienceandefficiency.Weinterviewedourclassmatesandteachersaswell.Justonethingnotsoperfectduringtheinterview,isthatwejustgotaconfusedanswerwhenweinterviewedourteacher.

Ourresearchhastwosignificances.First,rousepeople’sawarenesstocareabouttheruralstudents'learningsituation.Onlywhenwereallyseetheruralstudents’difficulties,canwelivetogetherwithoutdiscrimination.
Second,tryourbesttopromotetheeducationfair.Maybeeverysingleperson’spowerislimited,butaslongasweworktogether,wewillmakeadifferenceintheend.

Asweknow,Chinaisthelargestdevelopingcountryintheworld.ThereisobviousimbalanceofdevelopmentinChinasuchasthegapbetweeneastandwest,theimbalancebetweencityandcountryside.Particularlytheunequaldistributionofeducationresourcesdirectlyrestrictstheruralstudentstoenteringakeyuniversity.Becausethedistributionofeducationalresourcestendstocitythecountrysideisshortofeducationresources.Forexamplethequalityofteachersispoorortheteachingfacilitiesarescarce.Thesedirectlyleadtothelowlevelofruraleducation.

Becauseofthereasonsabove,theproportionofruralstudentsadmittedtoaKeyUniversityhascontinuouslydeclined.Thisratioisunfavorabletothedevelopmentofruralareas.First,itleadsdirectlytochangesinthestructureofruralyouthculture,hinderthedevelopmentofruraleconomyandsociety.What’sworse,itwillfurtherwidenthegapbetweenurbanandruralareasandaffectthesocialstability.
4.2Solutions
ImprovingtheproportionofstudentsadmittedtoaKeyUniversityinruralareasisaroundthecorner.Itundoubtedlyneedsourgovernmentandpublictomakeeffectivechanges.Fundamentallyspeaking,weneedtovigorouslydeveloptheruraleconomyandprovideastrongfoundationforthedevelopmentofEducation.
Forthegovernment,itneedstoincreaseStatefundingforinvestmentinruraleducationresources,provideastrongbackingforthedevelopmentofruraleducationfairness.Secondly,thepresentpopulareducationreformalsohelpstoimprovethelevelofeducationinruralareas.Whenachildscored620pointsinruralareas,whileaurbanboygot650,underthecurrentadmissionspolicywouldinevitablyadmittedtheurbanboy.Then,maybethatruralchildrenpaidmoreeffortsandexperiencedmoredifficultiestogetthatscore.So,inmyopinion,thereisadifferencebetweenabsolutescoresandrelativescores.Ifwewanttobreakthroughtheinequityofabsolutescore,definitelyneedtoperfecttheenrollmentpolicyincollegesanduniversities,andtofurtherstrengthencommunicationbetweenthestudentsandtheschools,ratherthanjustaccordingtoscorestoevaluatestudentsandselectstudents.Ofcourse,thisisextremelydifficultforourcountry,buteverythingneedsourefforts,isn'tit?
Meanwhile,inordertoeliminatethereadinguselesstheoryintheruralareas,itisnecessarytoimprovetheemploymentrate.Onlyinthisway,canruralstudentsandtheirparentsseethepracticalbenefitsofhighereducation.Afterall,peoplealwaysliketodothingsintheirfavor.Furthermore,newadmissionspoliciesoughttobeconveyedtoruralstudentsontime,whichrequiresstrengtheningthelinkagesbetweenkeyuniversitiesandruralhighschool.Timelycommunication,makesruralstudentsunderstandnewpolicies,sothattheycantrulybenefitfromtheeducationreform.
