Theresults,publishedonlineinthejournalCancerPreventionResearch,showedthosewhoaterawgarlicatleasttwiceaweekweresignificantlylesslikelytogetlungcancer,eveniftheysmokedorwereexposedtohigh-temperaturecookingoilfumes,thoughttobeanothercauseforthedisease.It'snotclearwhethercookedgarlicwouldhavethesameeffect.
