Ⅲ.教材分析与教材重组
1.教材分析
本单元以livingwithdisease为话题,旨在通过单元教学,让学生对各种不同的致命疾病如艾滋病、癌症等加以了解,能够学会预防疾病以及染病后学会保持乐观心态与疾病进行斗争;学会与染病的人进行正常的交流,去关心帮助他们;学会表达支持和反驳某种观点;能用所学的有关disease的词汇描述某种疾病,如何预防和对待疾病;记叙自己人生中的重大事件,以及对自己的影响和自己对事件的评价。
1.1WARMINGUP提供了课前小测验,让学生用已有的知识来判断有关艾滋病陈述的正误,激起学生的兴趣。
1.2LISTENING是关于疾病控制和疾病预防中心工作人员的工作情况。
1.3SPEAKING根据材料,四人小组合作进行辩论,要求decidewhichofthefourproblemsisthemostserious,然后准备一个角色卡分别向其他组同学讲述whytheproblemyouthinkisthemostserious,锻炼语段表达能力和辩论能力。
1.4PRE-READING是READING的热身活动。
它要求学生预测课文将要回答的四个问题。
1.5READING是一篇介绍小华感染HIV病毒,勇敢地与病魔抗争的故事。
从故事中学生们可以了解到小华对待疾病的乐观态度和与疾病抗争的精神。
以及如何与艾滋病人相处、关心帮助他们。
告诫学生要珍爱生命,做力所能及的事使生命更有意义。
1.6POST-READING第一、第二题和PRE-READING所提的要求相呼应,通过阅读课文回答自己所提出的问题,不能回答的要仔细思考后查阅资料解决,使学生们不受课本所局限。
其他问题是要通过挖掘文章的深层含义,激活学生自身的认知能力和思想认识能力以及想象能力,概括成一段话来回答。
要求是:
在理解的基础上,重点训练学生的概括能力,深层理解能力和想象力。
其中,Wordstudy是根据语境在运用中掌握词汇。
Grammar是关于虚拟语气——if从句与现在相反的假设;wish宾语从句表示但愿;asif表示非真实情况。
1.7INTEGRATINGSKILLS中的Readingandwriting要求学生先读,然后完成四个任务型的作业。
即:
1.讨论一个问题---癌症如何改变作者人生?
讨论问题需要学生具有描述疾病、评价人和理解课文深层含义的综合语言运用能力。
2.比较作者和readingpassage中的主人公小华的经历异同。
旨在培养学生的综合比较能力。
3.是假设情景题.旨在锻炼学生的想象和思维以及语言运用能力。
4.用图示的方式,来了解自己的人生轨迹。
并回答相关问题,旨在通过对课文的学习学会描述自己的经历及感受。
5.模仿readingpassage和readingandwriting中的passage写一篇关于重大事件对自己(他人)的人生产生影响的小文章,旨在训练学生的写作能力和语言综合运用能力。
2.教材重组
2.1从话题内容上分析,WARMINGUP与READING相一致,可以作为READING的课前热身。
2.2将LISTENING和Workbook中的LISTENING整合在一起,设计成一节“听力课”。
2.3可将PRE-READING,READING和POST-READING三个活动整合在一起上一节“阅读课
(一)”。
2.4可将LANGUAGESTUDY与Workbook中的PRACTISING语法练习题整合在一起上一节"语法课"。
