Abstract
Forvocabularymemoryandforgettingthecontradiction,theauthortriedtousetheaffixwordformationanalysis,studythestructureoftheEnglishvocabulary,findoutthewordinternalstructureandcontactlaw,andsummarizestheformlawandcharacteristicsofhelpcorrectcomprehension,vocabulary,andflexibleuseoftheaffixwordformationofdeconstructionlearnedwords,tofurtherconsolidateandexpandvocabulary.Wemust,therefore,intheprocessoflearningandmemoryofEnglishvocabulary,toseekthescientificmethodtosolvethememoryandforgettingthecontradictioneffectivelyandconvenientlymemoryvocabulary,deepenvocabularylearning.TherearetwokindsofEnglishaffixwordformation,addonorbeforetherootwordaffixnameprefix,andinsubsequentaffixnamesuffix.Prefix,ingeneral,onlychangethemeaning,rarelychangethepartofspeech,meaningandsuffixchangesnotonlyalsochangethepartsofspeech.

摘要
词汇是构筑语言的基本材料,词汇在语言交际中起着非常重要的作用。
英国语言学Wilkins 就曾经说过:
“Without grammar, a little can be conveyed, without vocabulary, nothing can be conveyed.”对于英语学习者来说,词汇量的大小直接影响到其掌握和运用该语言的熟练程度。
只有具备了一定的词汇量,才能更好地发展听、说、读、写、译等其他基本技能。
此外,词汇在语言发展中也起着非常重要的作用。
据统计,英语作为世界上词汇最丰富的语言,其词汇已经远远超过了200 万个。
而语言是随着社会的发展而发展的,英语词汇正以每年至少850 个新词的速度增加。
根据艾宾浩斯遗忘曲线原理,记忆及遗忘交叉于人的记忆过程之中。
所以,我们必须在学习和记忆英语词汇的过程中,寻求科学的记忆方法来解决记忆及遗忘这对矛盾,有效便捷地记忆词汇,深化词汇学习。

而词素是语言中最小的意义单位或元素。

Introduction
Vocabularyistheoneofthethreebasicelementsoflanguage(pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar),isthebuildingmaterialsoflanguage.Ifyouhavenotenoughvocabulary,youcannotcommunicateandexchangeeffectively.UnitedKingdomlinguistsWilkinssaid:
"Without grammar, a little can be conveyed, without vocabulary, nothing can be conveyed."Americanwriterandeducator,Mr.L.RonHubbars”seducationaltheorythoughtthatthemostimportantfactorofinfluencinglanguageunderstandingandapplicationisvocabulary.TheAffixMemoryMethodisawayofusingaffixesanditssemanticfeaturestorememberwords.Thismethodcaninferotherthingsfromonefactandcomprehendbyanalogy.ItismoreeasyandfirmtomemorizeEnglishwords.Itcanhelpstudentstounderstandtherelatedvocabularyetymologyandcultureconnotation.Inaddition,thevocabularyinthedevelopmentoflanguagealsoplaysaveryimportantrole.Accordingtostatistics,Englishastheworld'smostabundantvocabularylanguage,itsvocabularyisfarmorethanthe2million.Thelanguageisdevelopedwiththedevelopmentofthesociety,Englishvocabularyisincreasingatanannualrateofatleast850newwords.Accordingtotheprincipleofebbinghausforgettingcurve,of
memoryandforgettingacrossthememoryprocess.IntheprocessofevolutionhistoryofthedevelopmentoftheEnglishlanguage,affixwordformationplaysapositiverolewhichcannotbeignored.Accordingtostatistics,affixmethodgeneratedwordto30%~40%ofthetotalnumberofnewwords,itnotonlyexpandstheEnglishvocabulary,alsoenrichtheexternalformoflanguage.Affixword-formationmemory,canbeusedtothelargestextent,helpEnglishlearnerstounderstandandmemorizewords,andcanquicklyandeffectivelyexpandtheirvocabulary.IfEnglishlearnerscanfindouttheruleandcharacterofaffixcombination,andapplytheruletomasterandapplythepracticeoftheEnglishvocabulary.Theycanbefurtherscientificandquicklyrecognizeandremembervocabulary.UsingthefirstmethodofrootsandaffixesmemoryEnglishwordscanimprovetheefficiencyofwordmemory,butisonlyapplicabletomemorymoreuncommonwords.Forcommonwordswithoutroot,thismethodwasworthless.

1.1TheCharacteristicsoftheAffix
Affixesareboundmorpheme,"compose"means“adhesion”byitself."Affix"alsomeans"fastento".Affixesarenotthemaincarrierofmeaning,butwhichistectonicvocabularyforce.Canonlyattachtoformneologismsintherootmorpheme,ititselfdoesnotconstituteawordalone.Adheretoaffixinfrontoftherootisknownastheprefix,adheretotheaffixiscalledsuffixbehindtheroot,insertinthemiddleoftherootaffixationcalledinfix.Prefix,infixandsuffixisclungontotherootofadditionalingredients,sotheyarealsoknownasbeforeafteraddingredients,addingredientsandaddingredients.Suchas"rats","tiger"inthe"old";"Writer","scientists"inthe"home".
1.2Affixthewholeclassification
Affixesaredividedintoinflectionalandderivationalaffixes.Inflectionalaffixesaddinabehind,impartdifferentgrammaticalrelationsorgrammaticalcategory.Derivationalaffixesareaddedinbackofstemto
formanewword.Thismethodofconstitutescalledderivationmethod,whichiscalledaderivationalwords.Aderivationalaffixesaredividedintoprefixesandsuffixesaccordingtoitspositionofwords.Affixwordformationandwordmemory,Englishcanbeastem(wordstem)asthecore,withtheprefix(prefixandsuffix(suffix)indifferentcombinationstoderivenewwords.Commoncombinationcanbesummarizedasthefollowing:

Un-,in-anddis-bothcanbeusedinadjectives,expressnegativemeaning.Forinstance,untidy不整齐,unstoppable不可阻挡,incorrect不正确,improper不适当,illogical不合逻辑,irregular不规则,dishonest不诚实。
Anothernegativeprefix"non-",fortheadjectiveandthenoun,means"no".Forexample,nonfreea.没有自由,nonpersonn.毫无地位、微不足道的人等。

Mis-,toconstructverbs,means"wrong"or"fallintoawrongpathof".Forexample,misunderstand错误地理解,mislead领错路,使人误解,miscalculate算错,错误地估计。
Mal-means"Evil"or"bad".Forinstance,mal-treat虐待,malnutrition营养不良等。

Super-toconstructnouns,adjectivesandverbs,means"beyond”.Forexample,supermarket超市;superspeed超高速,superpower超级大国,superman超人。
1.2.1.5"Attitude"prefix.
Anti-,toconstructnounsoradjectives,means"against".Forexampleanti-war反对战争,anticancer抗癌症,anti-social反社会。
Pro-means"yes".Forexample,pro-European赞成西欧洲一体化,pro-American亲美的,pro-Communist亲共的。
Counter-means"against",forexample,counter-revolution革命,counter-charge反诉,倒打一耙示。
Re-means"back",forexample,react反作用,resist抵抗等。
