Witnesses'attitudescaninflueneetheirdesptiions.Inarecentexperiment,agroupofpeoplewasshownapictureofamanandtoldthathewasamassmurderer.WhenaskedtoproducePhotofitpicturesofthisman,theymadepicturesthatshowedamurderous-lookingindividual.Butatthesametime,asecondgroupwasshownthesamepictureandtoldthatthesamemanwasalifeboatcaptainwhohadreceivedamedalforbravery.WhenthesecondgroupproducedPhotofitpictures,theseshowedamanwhowashandsomeandwell-groomed.

Ofcourse,thissystem,asitexistsatpresent,willonlyhelptoidentifypeoplewhose
