Conductedspuriousemissions,whentheMShasbeenallocatedachannel,areemissionsfromtheantennaconnectoratfrequenciesotherthanthoseofthecarrierandsidebandsassociatedwithnormalmodulation.

TheSSsetstheMStooperateatitsmaximumoutputpower.
12.1.1.4.2Procedure
a)Measurementsaremadeinthefrequencyrange100kHzto12,75GHz.Spuriousemissionsaremeasuredattheconnectorofthetransceiver,asthepowerlevelofanydiscretesignal,higherthantherequirementintable 12.1minus6dB,deliveredintoa50load.
Themeasurementbandwidthbasedona5polesynchronouslytunedfilterisaccordingtotable 12.2.Thepowerindicationisthepeakpowerdetectedbythemeasuringsystem.
ThemeasurementonanyfrequencyshallbeperformedforatleastoneTDMAframeperiodwiththeexceptionoftheidleframe.
NOTE:
Thisensuresthatboththeactivetimes(MStransmitting)andthequiettimesaremeasured.
b)Thetestisrepeatedunderextremevoltagetestconditions([annex1,TC2.2andTC3]).

TheRFpowerleveloftheBCCHshallnotexceed–80dBminordertopreventconflictsinthefrequencyrange915MHzto1000MHz(seeTable12.6,row3).TheBCCHmessagecontentfromtheservingcellshallensurethatPeriodicLocationUpdatingisnotusedandthatpagemodeiscontinuouslysettoPagingReorganizationandBS_AG_BLKS_RESissetto0sothattheMSreceiverwilloperatecontinually.
TheCCCH_CONFshallbesetto000.1basicphysicalchannelusedforCCCHnotcombinedwithSDCCHs.
TheBCCHallocationshalleitherbeemptyorcontainonlytheservingcellBCCH.
NOTE:
ThisistoensurethatthereceiverdoesnotscanotherARFCN.ScanningotherARFCNcouldleadtoamovinginfrequencyofthespuriousandthereforetothepossibilityofeithernotmeasuringaspuriousemissionormeasuringitmorethanonce.

a)Measurementsaremadeinthefrequencyrange100kHzto12,75GHz.Spuriousemissionsaremeasuredasthepowerlevelofanydiscretesignal,higherthantherequirementintable 12.4minus6dB,deliveredintoa50load.
Themeasurementbandwidthbasedona5polesynchronouslytunedfilterissetaccordingtotable 12.5.Thepowerindicationisthepeakpowerdetectedbythemeasuringsystem.
ThemeasurementtimeonanyfrequencyshallbesuchthatitincludesthetimeduringwhichtheMSreceivesaTDMAframecontainingthepagingchannel.

12.2Radiatedspuriousemissions
Thistestisperformedeitheronanoutdoortestsite,fulfillingtherequirementsof [GC4ofannex1],orinananechoicshieldedchamber,fulfillingtherequirementsof([GC5ofannex1)].Performingthemeasurementintheanechoicshieldedchamberispreferred.Thesampleshallbeplacedatthespecifiedheightonthesupport.
NOTE:
Thetestmethoddescribedhasbeenwrittenformeasurementinananechoicshieldedchamber.Ifanoutdoortestsiteisusedthenadditionalprecautionsarenecessarytoensurecorrectmeasurement.Thesemeasuresarefamiliartotesthouseswhichperformspuriousemissionstestsandare:
a)Raise/lowerthetestantennathroughthespecifiedheightrangeduringboththeemissiondetectionandsubstitutionpartsofthetest.
b)Performaqualitativepre-searchinashieldedenvironmentfortestsiteswheretheambientRFenvironmentcanpreventthedetectionofspuriousemissionswhichexceedthelimit.
c)Detectemissionsatamoresensitivethresholdtothatspecifiedinsubclause12.2.1.4toallowfordestructiveinterferenceduetogroundplanereflectionsatthetestantennasearchheight.
