ThevowelslabeledAE,AAE,O,andAUshouldfirstandforemostbere-labelledasE,OI,O,andOU,respectively.EandOsoundliketheirHindicounterparts,butOIisthesoundofOfollowedbyI(adiphthong,andoneabsentinEnglish)andOUisthesoundofOfollowedbyU(anotherdiphthong,muchlikeAmericanEnglish"coat").
