“Usevoicemailtocutdownontelephoneinterruptions,turnoffthealertthatsays‘You’vegotane-mail;andgivestaffmembersasettimetovisityou.”JustinGramm,presidentofGlobellaBuyersRealty,exemplifiesRoth’spoint.“E-mailhadbeenabigtimewasterformeinthepastbecauseitwasaconstantinterruption,causingmetolosefocusonthetaskathand,”hesays.Sincedeterminedtocheckhise-mailsonlytwiceaday,Grammsayshehasbecomemuchmoreefficient.“Ifpeoplewanttogetmoreworkdone,theyneedtostopcheckinge-mailsandgetdowntobusiness,”hesays.
