1.了解有关海底世界,海洋生物以及海洋生物保护等方面的知识,能通过听力材料及阅读材料汲取相关信息,树立“海洋生物亟需人类保护”的生态环保意识。
2.学习有关海底动植物以及猎捕鲸鱼鲨鱼等人类活动的词汇、短语和句型。
3.学会口语责备与抱怨,并学会在写作中表达责备、抱怨及要求赔偿。
4.复习被动语态,尤其是-ing形式的被动式。

单元整体教学分析
★本单元的中心话题是海底世界。
听说读写活动主要围绕海底动植物、海底奇妙景观,以及有关大海的神话故事展开。
★Warmingup
以海底生物为话题,讨论三方面的问题:
1.学生所见过的海底生物;2.在何处见过这些海底动物并列出来地点;3.学生是否有最喜爱的海底动物并与同伴交流这些信息。
★Pre-reading
这部分以读图题的形式为阅读文章提供背景知识:

小组活动,讨论虎鲸与捕鲸人的关系。
此处可适当进行拓展,让学生通过讨论明确:

小组活动,让学生讨论是否应该关闭捕鲸站并保护鲸,从而扣到单元的情感目标上,即:
培养学生的热爱动物保护海洋生物及生态的目标。
★LearningaboutLanguage
首先是词汇训练,通过填表、替换、填空等形式,巩固和运用课文中出现的生词和短语;然后是语法训练,通过找出课文和练习3短文中的动词-ing形式的被动式、用动词-ing形式的被动式造句,以及用所给词的适当形式填空等,复习动词-ing形式的被动式的用法。
★UsingLanguage
由三分组成,综合训练听说读写的能力。
第一部分:
阅读与讨论:
阅读材料以“崭新的生活空间”(ANEWDIMENSIONOFLIFE)为题,用日记形式记述了作者在海底所见到的奇妙景色。
阅读后设置了五个练习。
第一个练习要求学生弄清本文各落描写的要点;第二个练习要求列出潜泳的刺激和危险。
第三个练习训练学生对于形容词用法的运用;第四个练习要求学生对上一题中形容词进行分类,并掌握作定语的形容词的先后位置关系。
第五个练习让学生小组讨论课文中出现的表达情绪的词组,理解其含义,并互相交流有类似情感的时间和场景。
第二部分:
读议听:
以听力训练为主。
听前让学生阅读一个观看鲸的广告,并讨论三个问题。
接着学生听游客和导游之间的三段对话,判断游客态度;再听一遍,完成表格,填写游客的期望与实际情况。
然后,重点落在有关抱怨的表达法上,学生完成对话中的有关句子。
最后,学生朗读对话,注重重音和语调。
第三部分:
说与写:
操练本单元的日常交际用语。

就本单元内容、词汇和语言结构进行总结,以掌握其难点和重点。
★LearningTip
启发学生找出三种复合形容词的构成方法(1.n.+like;2.adj.+n.-ed;3.adj.+looking)及其用法。
教学内容整合建议:
1.将WarmingUp,Pre-reading,Reading与Comprehending整合在一起以“阅读课”的形式体现。
2.将LearningaboutLanguage中的Discoveringusefulstructures与Workbook中的Usingstructures整合在一起上一节“语法学习课”。
3.将Workbook中的Listening,Talking以及ListeningTask整合为一节听说训练课。
4.教学顺序上,可以将听说训练课提前至Reading,Comprehending之后进行。
