AnotherformofthecountrymusicstylewasbasedonthemusicofcowboysintheAmericanWest,whichwasbroughttotheAmericanpublicthrough“singingcowboy”filmsofthe1930sand1940s.Theatreswerefilledwithfansofcowboyfilmswhichinturnmadecowboysongspopular.
