3)graspsomenewwordsandtrytousethesewordswhichhelpthemtoenrichtheirvocabulary:

Allovertheworld,themovefromsecondaryschooltouniversitybringsonnewchallengesinthelearningprocess.Studentsusuallylivefarawayfromthesupportanddisciplineoftheirparents.Theyarefacedwithanewlifestyleanddifficultcourses.Inmanycases,studentswhowereatthetopoftheirclassinsecondaryschoolsuddenlyfindthemselvessurroundedbyotherstudentswhoareequallybright,ifnotbrighter.Thesenseofchangingfromabigfishinalittlepondtoasmallfishinabigpondcanbeverydisheartening.Acquiringgoodlearningskillsisoneofthemostimportantstepsintheadaptationprocess.Goodlearningskillsalsoincreaseone'schancesforacademicsuccessandcanbeusedfortherestofone'slife.
Learningimpliesgainingknowledgeaboutaspecificsubject(e.g.organicchemistry)orskill(e.g.drawing).Learningalsomeansaskingquestions,solvingproblems,andresearchingspecifictopics.Alloftheseaspectsoflearningrequiremotivation,patience,andpractice.
Differentsubjectsrequiredifferentstudyhabits.Learningalanguage,forinstance,isaslowcumulativeprocess.ItisimpossibletobecomefluentinEnglish,forexample,inashorttime.Studyingliteratureisnotlikesolvingamathematicalproblem.Alotofmemorizationmaybeverynecessaryinsomecoursesbutuselessandinappropriateinothers.
Studentsoftenbecomeverydiscouragedwhentheystartcomparingthemselvestootherstudents.Itisalwayspossibletofindsomeonewhoisabletoachieveresultsmuchfasterthanoneself.However,oneofthekeystoproductivestudyingistofindandtoacceptone'sownpace.Somepeopletakemoretimetodothingsthanothers,butthatdoesnotmeantheyarelessintelligent.Differentpeoplehavedifferentabilitiesandveryfewpeopleexcelwithouthardwork.
