Aspartofaresearchproject,studentRonanHickeydigitisedandanalysedatotalof1,882whistlesfromtheIrishdolphinsandthose4fromtheWelshdolphinsonacomputerandseparatedthemintosixfundamentalwhistletypesand32differentcategories5.Ofthecategories,hefoundmost6wereusedbybothsetsofdolphins7--buteightwereonlyheardfromtheIrishdolphins.
