动词不定式是动词的一种非谓语形式,又叫非谓语动词
一、动词不定式在句子中不能充当谓语,没有人称和数的变化。
二、动词不定式是由“to+动词原形”构成(有时可以不带to)。
动词不定式的否定形式是“not+动词不定式”(not不与助动词连用)。
三、动词不定式短语具有名词、形容词和副词等的功能,可在句中用做多种句子成分。
⒈不定式作主语
动词不定式作主语时,句子的谓语动词常用单数,其位置有以下两种:
(1)把不定式置于句首。
如:
Togettherebybikewilltakeushalfanhour.
(2)用it作形式主语,把真正的主语不定式置于句后,常用于下列句式中。
如:
①It+be+名词+todo……
It'sourdutytotakegoodcareoftheold.
②Ittakessb+sometime+todo……
Howlongdidittakeyoutofinishthework?
③It+be+形容词+forsb+todo……
Itisdifficultforustofinishwritingthecompositioninaquarterofanhour.
④It+be+形容词+ofsb+todo……
Itisstupidofyoutowritedowneverythingtheteachersays.
⑤Itseems(appears)+形容词+todo……
Itseemedimpossibletosavemoney.
2.不定式作宾语
①以下动词后,只能跟不定式作宾语。
如:
agree,ask,choose,decide,expect,fail,help,hope,learn,manage,offer,plan,prepare,promise,refuse,wish等,如:
Idecidedtoaskformymoneyback.
②当复合宾语中的宾语是不定式时,先用形式宾语it代替不定式,把不定式置于补语之后,即:
主语+动词+it+adj/…+todo句式。
如:
Wethinkitquiteimportantforustolearnaforeignlanguagewell.
Hefeelsithisdutytohelpthepoor.
3.做表语
不定式作表语表示具体动作或将来动作
Mydreamistobeateacher.
4.不定式作定语
不定式在句中作定语,置于被修饰的名词或代词之后。
如:
①ThenexttraintoarriveisfromWashington.
②Doyouhaveanythingtosayonthequestion?
③Wouldyoupleasegivemesomepapertowriteon?
④MywishtovisitFrancecametrueatlast.
5.作宾语补足语
一些及物动词除接宾语外,有时还需要有宾语补足语,说明宾语的行为、状态、特征,这时意思才更完整。
结构:
v+sb+todo……
(1)常要求不定式作宾补的动词有:
allow,ask,advise,encourage,expect,force,get,wouldlike(love,hate),order,teach,tell,want,wish等。
如:
①WouldyoulikemetogiveyourregardstoMary?
②Iwantyoutounderstandthewholepassageclearly.
(2)部分动词后常接tobe+形容词、名词短语等形式,有时tobe可省略,如:
believe,consider,discover,find(=consider),feel(=think),know,think,understand等。
①WeallbelieveJohn(tobe)honest.
②Iconsiderhim(tobe)oneofthebestbiologyteachersofNo.1MiddleSchool.
(3)感觉动词和使役动词后用作宾补的不定式须省略to。
包括三“看”:
lookat,see,watch,三“让”:
have,let,make,二“听”:
hear,listento,一“感觉”:
feel,一“注意”:
notice
①Ididn'thearanyonesayanythingaboutit.
②Theymakethestudentsdotoomuchhomeworkeveryday.
(4)help后面的"to"可有可无。
如:
Wouldyoupleasehelpme(to)fillinthetimetable?
6.作目的状语
①Istayedtheretoseewhatwouldhappen.
②Henryhasdecidedtogotothehospitaltobeexaminedbythedoctor.
7.作结果状语
Wecamehomeafterourholidaytofindourgardenneatandtidy.
不定式作结果状语还常用在下列句式中。
如:
①enough…to
Thespeedishighenoughforustocatchupwiththefirstliner.
②too…to
I'mtootiredtostayuplonger.
8.在部分表示感情色彩的形容词、过去分词或动词之后可接不定式,如:
glad,happy,pleased,sad,sorry,surprised等。
①Wearegladtohearthenews.
②Iwassurprisedtoseethatathree-year-oldbabycouldwritesowell.
9.不定式短语还可作独立成分,用于句首、句中或句末。
如:
Totellthetruth,theplaywasagreatdisappointmenttome.
10.疑问词+不定式结构
疑问词who,what,which,when,where,whether,how后可接不定式构成不定式短语,在句中作主语、宾语、表语等。
如:
①WhentoleaveforLondonhasnotbeendecidedyet.
②Mr.Smithdidn'tknowwhethertoleaveorstaythere.
③IaskedProfessorXuhowtolearnEnglishwell.
④Thequestionwaswheretogetthemedicineneeded.
一、反身动代词的构成:
第一、第二人称的反身代词由形容词的物主代词加上self,selves构成。
如:
myself我自己,ourselves我们自己,yourself你自己,yourselves你们自己。
第三人称的反身代词是由宾格加上self,selves构成。
如:
himself他自己,herself她自己,itself它自己,以及themselves他们/她们/它们自己。
值得注意的是,凡是单数人称代词的反身代词在后加self,而复数人称的反身代词在后加selves。

二、反身代词的用法:
a、反身代词不能作主语,但是它可以作主语同位语,放在主语后或句末。
如:
Iwenttothecinemamyself.我亲自去了电影院。
Theleavesthemselvesturnred.
b、反身代词可以作宾语的同位语。
如:
IwishIcouldhearBeethovenhimselfplaythismusic.我希望我能听贝多芬他亲自弹这首曲子。
Youcangoandaskhimhimself.你可以去问他本人。
c、反身代词可以作介词的宾语。
如:
Nobody,shelearntitallbyherself.没人,她自学的。
Shesaidtoherself:
“what'swrongwithmyeyes?
”她自言自语地说,“我的眼睛怎么啦?
”
Don'talwaysthinkofyourself.别总是想着你自己。
d、反身代词作动词的宾语。
一般放在像这样的动词的后面:
enjoy,help,hurt,teach,wash,lookafter,getdressed,buy等。
如:
Didyouenjoyyourselvesattheweekend?
你们周末玩得开心吗?
HeteacheshimselfEnglishathome.他在家自学英语。
Helpyourselvestosomefish,children.孩子们,随便吃一些鱼。
Hecanbuyhimselfalotofnicethings.他可以给自己买好多好东西。
e、反身代词可以作表语。
如:
I'mnotquitemyselftoday.我今天情绪不好。
Hedoesn'tseemhimselfthismorning.今天上午他似乎不舒服。
反身代词的一些搭配:
