Everyyear,Co-operativeYoungFilm-makersoffersyouthechancetoseeyourworkonthebigscreen.Forover30yearstheCp-operativehasorganizedafestivalforyoungfilm-makers,provinghowcommittedwearetoyoungpeopleandtheirfilms.We’llbeholdingthisyear’sfestivalonFriday9andSaturday10OctoberattheNationalFilmTheatre.
Wearelookingforyoungfilm-makerswithimagination.Whetheryouarealreadyplanningacareerinthemoviesorhavenevermadeafilminyourlife,itdoesn’tmatter.Wewanttoseefilmsandvideosfrompeopleofallabilitiesandlevelsofexperience.

●Wewanttoshowasmanyfilmsaswecanonthebigscreen–thebrieferthefilms,themorewecanshow.Youcansayalotinthesixminutesorlessthatwesuggest.Especiallyifyouplanyourfilminadvanceandedititwell.
●Youneedtosupplyyourownequipment–tryborrowingfromfamilyandfriends.Mosttypesoffilmandvideoareacceptable.Justconcentrateongettingthemostoutofyourequipment.Experimentabit!
●Thinkofaninterestingstoryline.Itwillhelptomakeyourworkabitdifferent.Wearereallykeentogetfilmsabouttheenvironmentorinternationalissues.Whynottrywritingyourownmusic?
Everyfilmandvideowereceiveislookedatbyourgroupofjudges.Theywatcheachonefromstarttofinish,thentellyouwhattheythink.Thiscanreallyhelpifyouarethinkingabouttryingagainintwelvemonths’time.
Ifyourfilmischosenforscreeningatthefestival–andlastyear50were–youwillgetfreeentrytothefestival,andwewillcoveranycosts,suchasyourtravel.Thefestivalendswithapresentationonstageafteryourworkisscreened.
