1.2Generaldescription
−Theboathullandinnerlinearemadeofglassreinforcedpolyesterwithwaterproofmarineapprovedtypeunsaturatedpolyesterasitsbinderandfiberglassclothfeltasitsstrengtheningmaterial,thefiberreinforcedglassisformedbylayerslayinginmodule;
−Hookdeviceisthewiththeloadrelease.Thehookhastheinsurancedevice.Itmustlocktheinsuranceafterthehookreposition.Andatthesametimethehookcanbecameaway.
−Inthecoursefordescendandreceivetheboat.Itmustacrossthepaintertoaverttheboattowrithe.Whentheboatislowedtothesurfacetoreleasethehookandstarttheengineandthentotakeoffthepainter;
−Fitouttheself-righteningdevice.Itcanself-righteningbyitself;.
−Stocktwobuoyantoars.Whentheenginecan’tbeusedtheoarscanbeused;

OPERATIONPROCEDURES
WARNING!
Allcrewandpersonnelusingthislifeboatshouldlearnalloperatingprocedurescontainedinthisandreferencemanuals.
Failuretofollowanyoftheseprocedurescorrectlyorintheirintendedmodecanresultinseriousinjuriesorevendeath,notonlytotheoperator,butalsotoallonboard.
Thefollowingproceduresaretoberigidlyadheredto
*Foremergencyembarkation,

Asimilarprocedureshouldbeadoptedaspartofthenormallifeboatdrill.Itcannotbeemphasisedtoostronglythatfrequentandconscientiouspracticeforlifeboatdrillsshouldbemaintained.
2.1Emergencyabandonmentofshipprocedure
Thisappliestoboatonly,seedavitmanufacturersinstructionmanualfordetailsaboutdavit。
1.Afterbeingassignedalifeboat,passengersshouldstopoutsidethelifeboatandawaitinstructionsfromthelifeboatcrew.Whentoldtoboard,passengersshouldenterthelifeboatquicklyandorderlywearingtheirlifejackets。
2.Prepareboatforlaunchingbyreleasingthelashingarrangementandbringingtheboatintoboardingposition.Seedavitmanufacturerinstructionmanual。
3.Helmsmandisconnectsexternalpowerplugandenters.Theseshouldnotapplicable,ifsolarpowerpanelisinstalled。
4.Helmsmanturnsmainbatteryswitchon。
5.Alldesignatedcrew(forwardhookoperatorandafthookoperator)boardlifeboatandtakeuptheirassignedpositions.Ifapainteristobeusedduringlaunching,removefromtheequipmenttankandsecuretopainterreleasehookonboatandotherendtoship。
6.Allpassengersboardlifeboatoccupyingtheseatsfurthermostfromtheentrancefirst。
7.Helmsmanpullsandmaintainssteadypullonthewinchbrakereleasewireuntiltheboatiscompletelywaterborneandnotensionexistsinthefallwires。
8.Helmsmanstartsengine。
9.Helmsmanpullsandmaintainssteadypullonthewinchbrakereleasewireuntiltheboatiscompletelywaterborneandnotensionexistsinthefallwires.
10.Helmsmannowengagesgearandtellscrewmemberatfrontofboattopullthepainterreleasehandle(ifpainterhasbeenused)andsteersawayfromdangerondesignatedcompasscourse。
2.2On-loadreleasehooks
2.2.1Normaloperation
Undernormalcircumstancestheboatcannotbereleasedfromthedavitfallsuntiltheboatisfullywaterborne.Thefollowingprocedureshouldbefollowedexactly:

1.Donottouchthehookreleaseleveruntiltheboatisfullywaterborne.WhencraftisfullywaterborneunlockstopleverBandturnhandleBabout90ºanticlockwise.。

Liftinghookswillnowbereleased。
DANGERWARNING!
Thesafetyhandleshouldneverbemoveduntiltheboatiscompletelywaterborne.Failuretocomplywithanyofthehookproceduresmayresultindeathorseriousinjury。
2.2.2Emergencyoperation
Iftheboatisfullywaterborne,butthehydrostatpushrodhasnotlifteduptofreehandleA.Thefollowingprocedureshouldbefollowedexactly:
1.drawingupthehandle,pulloutsafetypin。
2.informthepassengerclutchthehandrail.
3.drawingdownthehandleatfulltilt。
Liftinghookswillnowbereleased。
DANGERWARNING!
Thesafetyhandleshouldneverbemoveduntiltheboatiscompletelywaterborne.Failuretocomplywithanyofthehookproceduresmayresultindeathorseriousinjury.
2.3Recoveryafterboatdrill
Afterdisengagingandbeforebringingtheboatbackalongsideforrecovery,thelifeboatcrewmustensurethatthehooksareclosedandthereleaseleverisinthelockedpositionwiththesafetypininserted.Toeffectthissituationfollowthisprocedure:
1.TheHelmsmanmustensurethatthereleasehandleisinthefullyreleasedposition(hooksareopen).
2.Hookmenensurethatthehooksaremanuallyhelddowninpositionforlocking
3.Thesemenshouldindicatetothehelmsmantoclosethereleasehandletothelockedposition.
4.Theforwardandafthookmenshouldpaycarefullyattentionthatthecamboltmechanismiscorrectlyinposition.Bothhooksshouldnowbepulledfirmlyupwardstoensurebothhooksarefirmlylockedintheclosedposition.
5.nowlockthesafetyhandle。
6.Thehookmechanismisnowreadyforre-engagementofthedavitfallsandtherescueboatcanbebroughtalongsideunderthefalls.
7.Hookmenshouldnowplacetheendlinkofthefallwiresintothehooksensuringthesafetyguarddropsdownintotheclosedposition。
8.Theboatshouldnowbelifteduntiljustclearofthewatersurfaceandstopped.
9.Thehookmenshouldagaincheckthatthehooksarecorrectlyclosed.
10.Theboatcannowbehoistedtoitsstowedposition.
11.Lashboattodavitandensureboatisleftreadyforemergencyuse.
2.4Checksbeforestarting
Startinganyenginecanbedangerousinthehandsofinexperiencedpeople.Beforeattemptingtostartanyengine,theoperatorshouldbefamiliarwiththeengineinstructionsmountedintheboatandtheenginemanufacturersinstructionmanual.
∙Ensurethatthebatteriesareinserviceableconditionandcorrectlyconnected.
∙Checkthatthefueltankisfullandthatthesystemisprimed.
∙Checkthatfuelvalveonbottomofthetankisopen.
∙Switchoffanddisconnectexternalpowersupplytotheboat.
2.5Tostartengine(normalstart)
1.Disconnectshipsexternalpowersupplybypullingtheplugneartheembarkationaccess.
2.Turnmainbatteryswitchto"ON"position.
3.Pleaserefertothestartinginstructionpostedclosetothehelmsman’spositionortotheengineinstructionmanual.
Iftheengineshouldfailtostartduetopoorbatterycondition,continuewiththeemergencystartingprocedure.Iftheenginefailstostartwithin15seconds,despitegoodbatterycondition,releasetheswitchandinvestigatethecause.Thestartermotorshouldbeallowedtocoolforatleast15secondsbeforeattemptingtorestart.
NOTE!
Thisenginecanberunwiththeboatoutofthewaterforamaximumof5min,butthepropellershaftshouldonlybeengagedforafewsecondsatatimetocheckisoperation.
Whilethelifeboatengineisrunningthealternatorwillchargeallitslifeboatbatteries.ThebatterychargermountedontheaftpillaronlyoperateswhentheboatisstowedintheDavitandtheshipspowersupplyisconnected.
2.6Tostartengine(emergencystart)
1.Disconnectshipsexternalpowersupplybypullingtheplugneartheembarkationaccess.
2.startthemotorinaccordingtheenginemanual.
2.7Tostopengine
Pleaserefertothestoppinginstructionpostedclosetothehelmsman’spositionortotheengineinstructionmanual.
Emergencystoppingoftheenginecanbeachievedbyclosingthefuelshut-offvalvelocatedontheinjectorpumpontheengine.Thisvalveisnormallyclosedbyasolenoidoperatedbythestopbutton,butitmaybeclosedmanuallyifthesolenoidisdefective.
