Ibelievethatonereasonthatthismovieisunder-appreciatedisthatpeoplehavenotseenitmultipletimes.OnfirstviewingitisthestoryofAndyDufresneandhisstruggletomaintainhopedespitehiscircumstances.However,thisisreallyamovieaboutRedandhisstruggletofindmeaningandpurpose.ThefinalsegmentofthemovietestifiestothefactthatthefinalresolutionofthestorycomesaboutonlywhenRedisfacedwiththesamefearfulsituationasBrooks.BecauseofAndy,Redcanfindadifferentpath-thepathoffreedomthatislitbyhope.WhoisyourAndyDufresne?
