Environmentalproblemsaresobigthattheycannotbesolvedbyanypersonorcountryalone.Instead,itshouldbesolvedatinternationallevel.Towhatextentdoyouagreeordisagreewiththisview?
Environmentaldegradationhasbeenrecognizedasoneofthemainchallengesthatwehavetoovereinthe21stcentury.Therapiddeteriorationofenvironmentalproblemsisbelievedtohaveposedaseriousthreattooursurvival.Toaddressthisconcern,countriesworldwideshouldjoinforces,insteadofworkingindividuallyfortheirowntarget.

Despitetheimportanceofinternationalcooperation,countriesshouldtaketheinitiativetoimplementsomechanges.Itisfairtosaythatcountriesareconfrontedwithdifferentenvironmentalproblem.Forexample,greenhousegasemissionsinChinaaremainlycreatedbytheelectricitygenerationindustrieswhileintheUnitedStatesareprimarilyattributedtotheincreaseincaruse.Thetechnologiesandmethodsthataregloballyapplicablemaynotbeeffectiveinsomecountries.Inaddition,countriesshouldenforcesomeenvironmentallawsandraisecitizens’awarenesssoastorestoretheenvironment.

Importinggoodscanyieldanumberofbenefits.Thefirstbenefitisthatdespitethehighcostoftransportation,importsarepetitivelypriced.Themainreasonisthatthecountriesthatexportthesegoodsnormallyhavetechnologyandprofessionalknowledgetoensurethegoods’qualityandaffordability.Forexample,ChinaspecialisesintheproductionoftextileproductssoChina-madetextileproductsarecheaperthanlocalcounterpartsinmanypartsoftheworld.Besides,importedgoodshavechallengeddomesticmanufacturers’dominanceandintensifiedpetition,therebypromptingthesemanufacturerstolowerproductprices.Itisbeneficialtodomesticcustomers,becauseproductsaremoreaffordableandthecostoflivingwilldecline.
