Everynon-NigerianwhohasenteredNigerialegallyandwhowishestoresideandorworkinNigeriamustmakeanapplicationforaCombinedExpatriateResidencePermitandAliensCardwhichisgenerallyreferredtoasaCERPAC.TheCERPACisvalidfortwoyears,isrenewableandisintwocategories,aGreenCardandaBrowncard.

PossessionofaCERPACGreenCardallowsanon-NigeriantoresideinNigeriaandcarryoutanapprovedactivityasspecifiedinthepermit,ortoaccompanyaresidentorcitizenofNigeriaasadependant.

PossessionofavalidCERPACGreenCarddoesnotexempttheholderfromhavingavalidentryorre-entryvisa.HoldersofresidentstatusinNigeriawhoareproceedingonleaveortemporarydutyoutsideNigeriashouldapplyforre-entryvisabeforetheirdeparturefromNigeria.

NonNigeriansresidentinNigeriaorvisitingwiththeintentiontoremaininNigeriainexcessof56daysaswellasmembersofthecrewofashipleavingtheirshipandstayingashoreinexcessof28daysarerequiredbylawtoregisterandobtainaCERPACBrownCard.

ExpatriateQuota

AlmostallapplicantsforaCERPACareemployedbycompaniesorindividualsrunningbusinessesinNigeria.TheemployersmustfirstapplyforandbegrantedanExpatriateQuota.TheExpatrtiateQuotaschemeisdesignedbyGovernmenttopreventtheindiscriminateemploymentofexpatriateswheretherearequalifiedandsuitableNigerianstofillthosepositions.

iii.ARformsareforExemptedPersons（Diplomats,Governmentofficials,NGOsandNiger-wives）.

a.ARformsareissuedattheImmigrationServiceHeadquartersandStateCommandsallovertheFederation.

b.CR&AOformsarecollectedfromAfriBankNigeriaPlc.

CERPACGUIDELINES

1.GeneralInstructions:

i.TheCERPACformasendorsedisvalidforthree（3）monthsfromthedateofpurchase.

ii.PleaseendorsethetwosampleformsalsofromthepointofcollectionoftheCERPACBookletGuidelines.

a.Pleasereadthroughbothformscarefullybeforecompletingthem.

b.Useablackballpointpenandcompletetheformsincapitalletters.

2.PleaseNotethefollowing:

i.TheenvelopecontainingthisCERPACPackshouldbepreserved.Youwillrequirethisenvelopeatthetimeofsubmittingyourformsanddocuments.

ii.Allfeespaidtoobtainformsarenotrefundable.

iii.Intheeventoflossofform（s）,replacementwillbetreatedasanewissueandwillattracttheoriginalfees.

iv.Anyerasures,cancellation,ordefacementofanysortshallrendertheform（s）void.

v.Anyform（s）voidedasin2.4（above）mustbereturnedasacompletesettothebankofpurchaseforreplacement.SuchreplacementwillattractaservicechargeandpackcostofN2,500（TwoThousand,FiveHundredNaira）payabletotheBank.

3.Otherrequirements:

i.Three（3）Nos.“2x2”passportphotographsonwhitebackgroundshouldbesubmittedwiththecompletedforms.Oneofthephotographsshouldbeattachedtothebottomright-handsideoftheCERPACformtitled“ReceiptandTemporaryCard".

4.AllcompletedformsanddocumentsshouldbesubmittedtotheImmigrationStateCommandwhereyourfile（s）is（are）located,forVerificationandClearance.

5.Atthetimeofsubmittingthecompletedformsanddocuments,youwillberequiredtopresentyouroriginalPassportforVerificationofthedocumentspresented.

6.Whenyourformsanddocumentsarereceived,verifiedandendorsedbytherelevantImmigrationStateCommand,anImmigration/CERPACStampwillbeappliedtoyourReceipt/TemporaryCard.PleaseensurethattheReceipt/TemporaryCardisauthenticatedandreturnedtoyou.YouwillalsoberequiredtophysicallycomeintoaCERPACofficeforthecaptureofyourDigitalPersonalIdentification.
