Thismonth,thejournal,AppliedPhysiology,NutritionandMetabolism(APNM),publishedastudybyfourdistinguishedexercisescientistswhoanalyzedmorethan200studiesofhowstretchingaffectsthefollowingexercise.Inbroadterms,theyfoundthatstretchingcanbrieflypreventtheabilitytogeneratepower.Soifyoureachforyourtoesandholdthatposition,tighteningyourhamstrings(腿筋),youmightnotthenbeabletoleapashighorstartadashasforcefullyasyoudon’tstretch.
