“I’malwayslookingatmebeingtheproblemandtheclothingasbeingOK,”saidKieranKern,whogetsaroundinawheelchair.WhenMs.KernapproachedOpenStyleLab,shewaslookingforacoatthatwouldbeeasytoputonwiththelimitationsofaweakerbody.Herteamcameupwithadesignwithacircularrod（杆）thatrunsthroughthecollarandallowsMs.Kerntoswingthecoatacrossherbackwithonehand.

“TheideaofhavingacoatthatseesthepartsthatmakemeasjustpartsandnotasaproblemthatIneedtosolvewasreallyliberatinginanidentitysense,”Ms.Kernsaid.“Becausegenerally,whenyouhaveadifferentbody,youdon’treallyseeyourself.”
