一般现在时的具体用法
1)表示现在时刻的状态、能力、性格、个性。

2)表示经常性或习惯性的动作,常与表示频度的时间状语连用。
时间状语:
often,usually,always,sometimes,seldom,everyday(week,year,night),onceaweek等。

3)表示格言或警句。
Practicemakesperfect.
【点津】此用法如果出现在宾语从句中,即使主句是过去时,从句谓语也要用一般现在时。
例如:

4)表示客观真理,客观存在,科学事实。

【拓展】几种特殊用法
1)表示按规定、计划,特别是按时刻表安排要发生的动作,但这种用法只限于go,come,leave,start,begin,return,stay等动词。

2)here,there等放在句首时需用倒装结构,表示动作正在进行。

现在进行时的具体用法
1.表示现在(指说话人说话时)正在发生的事情。
此种用法时,常带有表示目前时刻的时间副词,如:
now,atthe(very)moment,forthetimebeing,atpresent,及Look!

2.习惯进行:
表示长期的或重复性的动作,说话时动作未必正在进行。
例如:

(说话时并未在写,只处于写作的状态。
