一、概念:
表示过去发生的动作或存在的状况,常与表示过去的时间状语连用,
如:
Yesterday,lastyear,threedaysago,in1990,beforeliberation…
二、构成:
由动词的过去式来表示。
(一)规则动词的过去式
1.在动词后加-ed或-d
workedstayedwantedlived
2.“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词先将y变为i,再加-ed。
如:
studied,tried
3.重读闭音节或r音节结尾而末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词,先双写辅音字母再加-ed(以x结尾的词除外),如:
stop—stopped,plan—planned,permit—permitted
(二)不规则动词的过去式
1.begin—begandrink—drank
e—cameeat—ate
grow—grewrun—ran
know—knewsay—said
win—wonspeak—spoke

2.变词尾的–d为–t

3.与动词原形一样:
