Afterarchitectsdesignedthebridge,AmosPetersandBillHutchstartedconstruction.Theybuiltthe60footbridgefromaluminumandlengthsoffirehose(消防水带).Itcost$1,000.
Itdidn'ttakelongbeforereportsofsquirrelsusingthebridgestarted.Squirrelswereevenseenguidingtheiryoungandteaching_them_the_ropes.Thestorywaspickedupbythemedia,andNuttyNarrowsbecameknowninnewspapersallovertheworld.
