We’veallbecomeverycognitiveJackandhisstoryandwhenAlibabawentpublicwiththelargestIPOinhistory,weknewalotmoreabouthim,soIwanttotalkabouthispersonalstory,Iwanttotalkabouthowmanytimeshetriedandfailed,andwhatkepthimgoing,Iwanttotalkaboutwhereheistodayandhowhegothereandwhereheisgoingandhowexpectstogetthereandifhegetstherewhatwillitallmeanforhimandforthepeoplethathewantstoinspire,so,beginwiththisquestion,though,Jack,whyareyoubackatDavos.

It’salongbreakforsevenyears,Ithinkmylasttimetripherewas2008,butIwascomingforyourtofindoneforyounggloballeaderfortomorrow,andIthinkrememberIneverheardaboutaDavoswhenIcame,butwhenIcameoutIandaSwitzerland,somanyyoungpeopledemonstratewassuchahorriblescenethatIwasanetandaskthemwhowantedtodoit,theysayNTglobalizationandaswhygrandmasthisisagreatthing,whypeopleandyouknowdon’tlikeit,andthenwecomeallthewayfortwohourshere,there’ssomeRussiangonethere’sapeoplecheckingouttheallgoisthatthere’sfollowerzapreason,we’regoingtogointothat,butwhenIjoinedthefunattheyounggloballeader,Iwasthrilledbysomanyideasforthefirstofthreefouryears,I’velearnedwhatdoestheglobalizationmean,whatisthecoppertocitizenshipmean,whataboutsocialresponsibilitymean,howallthesenewideasandseesomanygreatleaderstalkingaboutleadershipandthatbenefitalotandayear2008,and2009whenthefinancialcrisiscame,Ithinkaboutitgobacktoworkbecausewecanneverwintheworldbytalking,sogobacktospendsevenyears,nowIcomeback,Ithinkit’stimetodosomethingreturn,soIlearnedsomuch,let’stalkaboutyearsagosowhyIshouldnottalkingtoyounggloballeaderoftodayshellingwiththemhowwegone.
