PlasticsurgeryhasbecomeanAmericanobsession(痴迷).Checkingothercountries,suchastheUKandAustralia,the18to24-year-old’sbeinginterestedinplasticsurgeryisanobviousUSphenomenon.Unliketheothergroupswhovisitsitesrelatedtodiseasesandkeepinghealthy,youngerInternetusersrushtositesthatdealwithpersonalappearance,suchasthosefocusedonbody-building,weightlossandskin-care,andobviouslyplasticsurgery.
Whiletelevisiononsurgerymaybedrivingtheinterestofayoungeraudience,onefactorappearstobeakeyinpreventingsuchteensfromchangingtheirbodies:
