Dunn’steamalsosurveyed16employeesatacompanyinBostonbeforeandaftertheyreceivedanannualprofit-sharingbonusofbetween$3,000and$8,000.

“Employeeswhodevotedmoreoftheirbonustopro-social（有益社会的）spendingexperiencedgreaterhappinessafterreceivingthebonus,andthemannerinwhichtheyspentthatbonuswasamoreimportantpredictoroftheirhappinessthanthesizeofthebonusitself,”theywroteintheirreport,publishedinthejournalScience.
