Today,peopleliveinanindustrializedandmechanizederawhichhasprovidedthemwithagreatdealofleisuretimeandatotallydifferentlifestyle.Ontheotherhand,individualspursuelimitedphysicalactivitiesattheirworkplaces,settlementsandmostnoticeably,attheirleisuretime.Hence,thepresentpaperexploresthewaysTehranuniversitystudentsfollowaspecificlifestyleandpasstheirleisuretimewithanemphasisonsportandtakingexercise.
Methodology:
Todeterminethewaysstudentspasstheirleisuretimeespeciallyonsport,wewouldselect830maleandfemalestudentsthroughrandom-stratifiedsampling.Inaddition,inordertocollecttherequireddata,wewouldapplya40-itemresearcher-conductedquestionnairewhosevaliditydeterminedusingexperimentalresearchandAlphakranbakhmethod(r = 0.841).
Findings:
Theresearchresultsshowedthatstudents‘meandailyleisuretimewas3.6 hourswhich,onthebasisoforderoftimemagnitude,dedicatedtowatchingTV,listeningtomusic,chitchattingwithfriends,reading,takingexerciseandworkingwithcomputer,respectively.Ofcourse,theleisuretimeactiviteslikeworkingwithcomputer,takingexerciseandlisteningtomusicwereconsiderablyfavoredamongstudents.Excercisetakingatleisuretimerankedsecondandsixthforboysandgirls,respectively.Inaddition52.8%and43.2%ofboysandgirls,respectively,wouldn’ttakeexerciseatall.Theboyspreferredtogetinvolvedinsportslikesoccer,bodybuilding,swimming,mountainclimbingvolleyballandbasketball,respectively;whereasthegirlswouldprefertotakepartinsportslikeswimming,joggingvolleyball,mountainclimbing,badmintonandtabletennis,respectively.Ontheotherhand,thewaysbothmaleandfemalestudentswouldpasstheleisuretimelikevisitingtheirrelatives,takingexerciseandengaginginartandreligiousworks,watchingfilmsandlisteningtomusicdifferedsignificantly.Themainreasonsasforthestudentsinactivityweretheirbusyness,lazinessandlethargy.Also,therewasasignificantdifferencebetweenbothmaleandfemalestudentsastohowtheywouldpasstheirleisuretimelikevisitingrelatives,engaginginartandreligious
works,takingexercise,watchingfilmsandlisteningtomusic(p < 0.05).
Conclusions:
Immobileactivitiesmakeupmajorityofstudents‘leisuretimeinwhichsportandexerciseroleisataminimum.Meanwhile,cultural,socialandphysicalfactorscontributetodifferentleisuretimeactivitiesbetweenbothmaleandfemalestudents.Asaresult,topromoteanactivelifestyleamongstudents,theyshouldbeinformedabouttheadvantagesofphysicalactivitiesandwell-being.Inaddition,thereshouldbeopenairsportvenuesatcampusesandgreenspacesdevotedforstudents‘physicalactivities.Also,baseduponstudents‘preferences,therecanbemusicroomsatdormsandmusicshallbeplayedinsportclubssothatstudentscanoptimallypasstheirleisuretime.

Weexaminedthevalidityofthereportedlinkbetweenwell-beingandleisureparticipationinadolescents.Ninehundredandforty-seven,Year10studentsfrom19schoolsinAdelaide,SouthAustralia,wererecruited.Participantscompletedaquestionnaireconcerningparticipationinsocial,non-socialandunstructuredleisureactivitiesaswellasmeasuresofpersonality.Asexpected,personalityvariableswerebetterpredictorsofadolescentwell-beingthanspare-timeuse,althoughengagementinlessstructuredleisureactivitieswasassociatedwithpoorerpsychologicalwell-beingandsubstanceuse.Thesefindingssupportpreviouspersonalityresearchwhichsuggeststhatspare-timeusemayberelatedtowell-beingonlyinsofarasindividualswhoarepsychologicallyhealthytendtobeinvolvedinstructuredleisureactivities.Theimplicationsofthesefindingsforschoolpolicyandfutureresearchconcerningthelinksbetweenleisureinvolvementandpsychologicalwell-beingarediscussed.

Itwashypothesizedthatstudents'valueorientationsareconnectedtotheirexperienceofmotivationalinterferenceinaconflictbetweenaschool-andaleisure-relatedactivityaswellastoschoolmarksasindicatorsoflearningoutcomes.Inaself-reportstudywithItalianadolescents(N = 433;M = 14.5years)usingaschool-leisureconflictscenario,first,therelationsbetweenthe10valuesintroducedbySchwartzandtheInglehart-basedAchievementandWell-beingvalueorientationswereinvestigated.Correlationsandmultidimensionalscalinganalysisshowedoverlapsaswellasdifferencesbetweenthetwosetsofvaluevariables.RegressionanalysesrevealedthattheSchwartzvaluesweresignificantlyrelatedtotheexperienceofmotivationalinterferenceduringstudyingandduringleisureaswellastoschoolmarks.TheinclusionofAchievementandWell-beingvalueorientationsexplainedadditionalvarianceofthethreedependentvariables.Therelevanceofindividualvaluesinexplainingstudents'reactionstomotivationalconflictsishighlighted.

Methods
Acohortconsistingof173technicalschoolstudentswasfollowedupduringa3-yearperiod,fromtheirlastyearofschoolthroughtheirfirstyearsofworkinglife.Dataonself-reportedneck,shoulder,andupperbackpainandfactorssuchasmechanicalexposure,perceivedstress,andphysicalactivityinleisuretimewerecollected.
Results
Ahighprevalenceofpainintheneck,shoulder,andupperbackamongthetechnicalschoolstudentswasfound.Therewerehoweverfewstudentsreportingseverepain.Reportingpainatbaselinegaveoverthreetimeshigherriskofreportingitatfollow-up.Ahighlevelofphysicalactivityoutsideworkinghoursgavealowerriskofreportingneck,shoulder,andupperbackpainatfollow-up.Highandmoderatelevelsofmechanicalexposureandhighstresslevelwerenotfoundtoberiskfactorsforpainafterenteringworkinglife.
Conclusion
Neck,shoulder,andupperbackpainarecommonamongadolescentsandmaypersistintoworkinglife.Theseresultsmaygivepotentialforpreventiveeffortsatayoungage.Thereisstillmuchuncertaintyaboutthefactorsleadingtomusculoskeletalpain,andmoreresearchisneededonthistopic.

Schoolsareintegralsettingsinwhichchildrencanparticipateinmoderateandvigorousphysicalactivity.Thisstudyreportsontherelationshipbetweenplaygroundcharacteristicsandchildactivitylevelsusingacombinationofquantitativeandqualitativemethods.Theaimofthestudyistoincreaseunderstandingofhowchildrenrespondtotheirschoolplaygroundenvironments.Twenty-threeprimaryschoolslocatedinapredominantlylowsocio-economicareaofMelbourne,Australiawereinvolved.SOPLAY(SystemforObservingPlayandLeisureActivityinYouth)wasadministeredinall23schoolstomeasurethelevelsofstudentphysicalactivityandplaygroundenvironmentalfactorssuchasequipmentprovision.In12ofthe23schools,asampleof9–11-year-oldstudentsparticipatedinfocusgroupdiscussionsexploringperceptionsoftheirschoolplaygroundsusingaphotoorderingtechnique.AlargerproportionofstudentsparticipatedinVPAwhenlooseequipment(60%vs.52%;p < 0.001)andteachersupervision(62%vs.52%;p < 0.001)werepresentinactivitysettings,comparedtowhentheywereunavailable.Fixedplayequipmentandbitumenwithcourt/play-linemarkingswereseenbychildrenassettingsinvitingactiveplaybutonlyhadthegreatestimpactonmoderateactivity(fixedplayequipment:
