It'struethatweneedtostudyourownChineselanguageandculturediligently(勤奋地).SomanyimportantthingshavehappenedinChinaoverthelast5,000yearsthatitwouldbeimpossibletounderstandthemallwithoutstudyingincrediblyhard.WeareChineseandweneedtounderstandourroots,andtherootsareinourlanguage.Weallhavestrongfeelingsforourcountry,andthereforeweneedtocultivate(培养)astrongloveforourlanguageaswell.

WeshouldnotjuststudyChineseforourownsakebutwealsoneedtostudyChinaforthebenefitoftheentireworld.EvenifpeoplefromothercountiesdostudyChinaandChinese,itcansometimesbedifficulttofullycomprehend(理解)itwithouthavingthesameexperienceswehave.Therefore,weneedtobecometheexpertsinourownlanguageandourownculturefortheirsakeaswellasourown.

EvenifwestudyourownChineselanguageandculturethoroughly,thatisn'tenough.EventhoughChinaisaverylargecountry,theworldisevenlarger.EvenifweareexpertsonChina,westillmayknowverylittleabouttherestoftheworld.Languageisawindowintotherestoftheworld.Throughlanguagewecanlearnmoreabouttherestoftheworldforourselves.
