TheoldElephantHouseattheNationalZooinWashingtonD.C.hasbeenrenovated(翻新)toincludealotmorespaceforthegiantanimalstoplay,restandeventakeashower.Ithasbeenrenamedthe
ElephantCommunityCenter,anditalsooffersalotmoreforhumanguests.

Thecommunitycenterisdesignedtoholdasmanyas10elephants.Althoughthezooplanstoincreasetheherd(象群),therearenowjustthreeelephants:
Ambika,ShanthiandKandula.
