ThefirstimpressionthattheboyTomgavemewasanaughty,mischievousboy,justaswhatAuntPollysaid.Heneverlackedthecuriositytoexplorenewplaces,sometimesevenriskinghislife,whichIdidnotdareto!
ThereweresomegreatadventuresofhimwithHuckorJoe.Huckwasanorphan,andJoewasTom’sclassmate.EverybodyinthesmallvillageknewTom,mainlyforTom’s—youknowkindofgallantry!

Tomisanaughtyboy,hedoesn’tlikeschoolandhedoesn’tlikeworkandheneverwantstogetupinthemorning.Buthelikeplayinglikeswimming,fishingandhavingadventureswithhisfriends.Inthisstoryheandhisfriendhavealotofadventures.Theseadventurescanbedangerous.OnenightinthegraveyardheandHuckseethreemen.ThenTomandhisfriendssawamurder.JoeykilledthedoctorandreferredtoPeter.TomandhisfriendsexposedJoeyandcaughthimandbecamehero.
IthinkTomisnaughtybutheissympatheticandupright,heisbravehedoesn’tafraidofJoeyandfullofhismindarewickedideabutheiscleverandoptimistic,hewanthisfriendworkforhim,hemakealotoffunnythings.
