牛津上海版7A名词所有格专项讲解及练习无答案
名词所有格
一.定义:
表示有生命的东西的名词及某些表示时间、距离、星球、世界、国家等无生命的东西的名词后加’s来表示所有关系,叫做名词所有格。
二、基本用法
A.有生命的名词所有格:
名词+’s例:
Tom’ssister;Children’sDay;Women’sDay
以s结尾+’例:
教师办公室teachers’officeTeachers’Day
B.无生命的名词所有格:
一般用of短语构成词组,
例:
房间的门thedooroftheroom
C.表示时间,集体,地名等词也可+’s,
例:
today’snewspaper今天的报纸fiveminutes’walk走五分钟的路程
anhour’sdrive开车一个小时的路程
D.省略’s后的名词时,常代指“家、工作场所”,例:
在诊所atthedoctor’s,
在外婆家atmygrandmother’s,attheGreen’s在格林家
批注:
theGreens格林一家人
E.共有的格,后面名词+’s:
Joan和Jane的房间(共一间)JoanandJane’sroomisbeautiful.
各有的格,每个名词+’s:
Joan和Jane的房间(每人一间)Joan’sandJane’sroomsarebeautiful.
F.有些无生命东西的名词,如国家,城市季节,太阳,月亮,大地,江河,海洋,船等名词
也可用's,表示所有关系。
如china'spopulation(中国人口)thecity'slife(城市生活)
G.双重所有格:
(1)在所属名词前有a/an,one,some,any,afew,this,my等冠词、代词、数词时,常要用“of词
组+名词性物主代词”与“of词组+’s”。
例:
我姐姐的一个朋友afriendofmysister’s=oneofmysister’sfriends.
我的一个朋友afriendofmine
(2)of后面的名词必须是指人的名词。
例:
apictureofmyuncle叔叔本人的照片
apictureofmyuncle’s我叔叔的一张照片
(我叔叔所有照片中的一张,但不一定是他本人的照片)
三:
名词作主语时谓语动词数的变化
一般情况下名词为单数,谓语动词则用单数;名词为复数,谓语动词则用复数.
看下面的特殊情况:
1.集体名词(如family,class,team,group,row,police,school等)做句子主语时,
如果表示整体概念,则谓语用单数形式
例:
ClassThreeisaverygoodclass.
如果表示其中的所有成员时,则谓语用复数形式
例:
ClassThreehaveamapofChina.
2.度量、距离、金额或时间等名词作主语时,接谓语动词的单数形式:
Twomonthsisnotashorttime.Twothousandkilometersisquitealongdistance(距离).
3.用and连接两个以上的单数名词时,谓语动词要用复数。
如and连接的两个名词是指明同一个概念时谓语动词则用单数。
(1)Thebrotherandsisterarebothstudents.
(2)Thedoctorandwriterisgoingtogiveaspeech.
4.在therebe,either…or…,neither…nor…,notonly…butalso…句型中,谓语动词采取就近原则。
例:
Eitheryouorheisgoingtobuythebook.
5.maths,news等虽然有s结尾,但不是复数,因此谓语仍用单数。
例:
Thenewsissoexcitingthateverybodyiswildwithjoy.
6.glasses,shoes,socks,trousers,gloves等名词往往用复数形式,故谓语用复数。
例:
ThetrousersareverycheapandIwanttotakethem.
批注:
请学生要注意glass+es呈复数形式时的意思为“眼镜”。
7.用both…and…连接两个事物做主语时,谓语一般用复数。
例:
BothyouandIarerequiredtobeheretomorrow.
8.主语中含有with的短语时,谓语单复数由with之前的人物决定。
例:
Awomanwitha7-year-oldchildwasstandingatthesideoftheroad.
9.主语中含有halfof…/分数/all(of)the...等词语时,谓语的单复数由名词确定。
例:
OverthreequartersoftheinformationontheInternetisinEnglish
Athirdofthestudentswereplayingnearthelake.
10.Chinese,Japanese,fish,sheep,people等表示单个时谓语用单数,表示许多时,谓语用复数。
例:
Thereisasheepintheyard./Therearesomesheepintheyard.
