SoontherewasaMother’sDayInternationalAssociationandthecustombegantobeadoptedinmanycountriesoftheworld.
AnnaJarvis,asadanddisillusionedwomandiedin1948.Thecustomshehadworkedsohardtoestablishandwhichhadbecomealmostuniversalhadlostitsoriginalpurpose.Ithadbeentakenoverbybusiness.AswithChristmas,thegivingofpresentsandthesendingofcardshadbecomeamulti-million-dollarindustry.(296words)
