探究一、1.Kidsthesedaysalreadyhaveenoughstressfromschool.
stress为不可数名词,意为“精神压力;心理负担”。
enough作形容词,修饰名词时,可放在名词前,也可放在名词后,惯放在名词前。
enough作副词时,要放在形容词/副词后,即后置。
1)Wehaveenoughmoneytobuyacar.
我们有足够的钱来买一辆汽车。
2)Hedoeshishomeworkcarefullyenough.
他做作业十分认真。
【拓展】 “enough+名词+todosth.”表示“(有)足够的……可以做某事”;“not+形容词+enough(forsb.)+todosth.”表示“不够……去做某事”。
探究二、2.Theyshouldspendtheirtimeonschoolworkinordertogetgoodgradesandgetintoagooduniversity.
◆spend花费,其主语必须是表示人的名词或代词,常用于spendtime/moneyonsth.或spendtime/moneyindoingsth.结构中,其中介词in可以省略。

◆inorderto后接动词原形,引导简单句,表示目的,意为“为了……,以便……”,可位于句首,也可位于句中,它的否定式为inordernotto。

(1)inorderthat后接从句,表示目的,意为“为了……,以便……”。

(2)sothat用作连词短语,意为“以便,为的是”,引导目的状语从句/结果状语从句。

providesth.forsb./providesb.withsth.表示“为某人提供某物”。

探究五、5.Sincetheyliveinonehousewiththeirparents,...
since因为;既然。
since引导的原因状语从句一般放在主句的前面。
since语气比because弱,表示显然的或对方已知的原因。
e.g.1)Sincehesaysso,itmustbetrue.他既然这么说,那就一定是真的。
2)Sincealotofpeoplemakemistakesinlife,let’sgivehimachance.既然很多人在一生中都会犯错误,那我们就给他一个机会吧。

(1)sinceconj.自……以来。
常用句型“Itis+一段时间+since+一般过去时”意为“自从……已经多长时间了”。
Itistenyearssincewemetlasttime.自从我们上次见面已有10年了。
(2)since可用作介词,意为“自从,从……以来”。
I’velivedheresince1990.从1990年以来我一直住在这儿。

asaresult结果,因此,后面接句子;asaresultof意为“由于……的原因”,后面接名词(短语)或动名词。

“the+比较级,the+比较级”意为“越……,就越……”。
