辨析:
alive:
指生命从奄奄一息到精力旺盛的各种状态。
作后置定语。
live:

living:
指包括人和动植物的生命没有消失、仍然健康地存在的状态。
lively:
表示“生动的,活泼的”,可以做定语、表语或宾补

定语从句:
在句中充当定语(修饰名词)的从句

另外,在这个同位语中whosepoemswere10vedbymillions又是一个由关系代词whose引导的定语从句,修饰前面的poet。

U6重点语法
if引导的条件状语从句
条件状语从句在复合句中表示主句动作发生的条件。
A.注意时态
在含有if引导的条件状语从句的复合句中,当主句是将来时的时候,从句要用一般现在时。
如:
TheyaregoingtohaveapicniciftheyarefreenextSaturday.如果他们下周六有空,就去野餐。
B.if引导的状语从句位置灵活
如果将if引导的条件状语从句放在前面,从句后面要有逗号。
if表达“如果,假如”,表示在某种条件下某事很可能发生。
如:
Ifyouaskhim,hewillhelpyou.如果你请他帮忙,他会帮你的。
做题时,看到if引导的从句,注意是if引导状语从句还是宾语从句,从而确定时态的使用。
unless引导的条件状语从句
A.unless与if
unless表示“除非,如果不”,相当于if....not,表示一种负面的条件。
如:
Youwillbelateunlessyouleaveatonce.如果你不马上走,你将会迟到。
=Ifyoudonotleaveatonce,youwillbelate.
注意:
当某种条件所引起的结果是一种情绪或想法时,不能使用unless,只能用if...not。
如:
IwillbeangryifIamnotinvitedtotheparty.(√)
IwillbeangryunlessIaminvitedtotheparty.(×)
知识点2:
时态问题
在含有unless引导的条件状语从句的复合句中,当主句表示将来的时候,从句要用一般现在时。
如:
Unlessitrains,thegamewillbeplayed.除非下雨,否则比赛将照常进行。
注意:
主句表示将来是指,主句是将来时态、祈使句或含有情态动词。
如:
Unlessyouknowtheword,youmaylookitupinadictionary.如果你不认识这个词,你可以查词典。
