However,manypeoplebelievethat thekeyfactorthatleadstotheirfinalsuccessdependsontwoaspects. Thefirstaspectis one’sdiligenceandability. Thesecondoneis theopportunities. Afurtherargumentisthat abilityisthebasicofsuccess.Withoutability,evenverygoodopportunitiescome,youcannotgraspthem.
However,whatreallycountsisnot howluckyyouaretogetgoodopportunities, but whetherornotyouhavesuchanabilitytotakeadvantageofthem.Thereareplentyofopportunitiesforeveryoneinoursociety,butonlythosewhoarepreparedadequatelyandqualifiedhighlycanmakeuseofthemtoachievetheirgoal.

2.MyViewontheNegativeEffectsofReferenceBooks
Nowadaysstudentsconstantly findthemselvesfloodedby allkindsofreferencebooks.Referencebooksthemselves areofnoharm.It’sgenerallybelievedmostofthemarehelpfulandbeneficial.However,theoveruseornotusingtheminaproperway,suchasdependingtoomuchonthem,willcertainly doharmto students.
Obviously,dependingtoomuchonreferencebooks,hasmanynegativeeffects. Tobeginwith,theycanmakesomestudents(be)lessattentiveinclass.Armedwithkeystoallthequestions,theyseemtoknowallandonlyfindtheirmemorycompletelyblankinexam-rooms. Besides,somereferencebookspublishedin such ahaste thattheyoccasionallyprovidestudentswithwronganswers,thusmakingstudentsconfusedaboutsomeknowledge. Worstofall,bymerelycopyingfromthereferencebooks,studentsgraduallybecomelazyandgetintopassivelearninghabitswhicharedifficulttogetridof,and what’smore,dogreatharmtotheircreativity.
Therefore,Isuggeststudents takeprotectiveattitudestowards themselvesinfrontofallkindsofreferencebooks. Inaddition,theyshouldbetaughthowtomakeproperuseofthebooksandneveroverusethembymerelycopying(withoutthinking). Onlyinthiswaycantheyreducethenegativeeffectsof referencebooks.

3.HarmfulnessofVideoGames
Nowadays,timeandagain,students areprohibitedform playingvideogames,butalmost invain. Asamatteroffact,manyteenagers arestillseenindulgingintheexcitinggames,esp.duringthevacations.However,thisproblem hascaughtthenationalwideattention.
Asiswell-known,videogamescandogreatharmtostudentsandsociety. First,theygreatlyaffectstudents’eyesightandtheirhealth.Asamatteroffact,somestudentscan’t resistthetemptationof playingvideogames.Therefore,theycuttheirlunchandpouralltheirpocketmoneyonvideogames. Andwhatisworse,theywastealltheirfreetimeon thegamessoasto escapetheteachers’strictrequirementsandtheparents’harshwords.Asaresult,theyfailrapidlyinhealth. Besides,videogamestakestudents’attentionfromtheirclassroomandgreatlyaffecttheirstudies.Assomestudentsaresoindulgedinthegames,theynaturallyforgetabouttheirhomeworkandevenbegintoskipschool. It’sgenerallybelievedthat readingisanimportantpartofourlife.Tobeginwith,itundoubtedly enrichesourlife.Whenwefeellonesome,wecanpickupabookandenjoywhatweread.Byreading,wemayfeelweleaddifferentkindsoflives,andtalktopeopleofdifferentperiodsinhistory.
