ABSTRACT
thePresentSituationandAnalysisofEnglishclassinRuralHighSchool
ThisresearchpaperconcentratesonthethePresentsituationandanalysisofEnglishclassinRuralHighSchool.Tosupportthethesis,thepaperisdividedintofourparts,thefirstpartmainlyintroducethepresentsituationofEnglishteachinginruralhighschool,itincludingthepresentsituationofteachers’teachingandthepresentsituationofstudents’learning,andthepresentsituationofteachingeffect.Thenextistheparttwoandpartthere,theyarethemainbodyofthepaper.Thesecondpartismainlytalkaboutthereasonswhatcausethepresentsituationofteachinginruralhighschool,itincludestheeconomicconstraints,theeffectofexam-orientededucation,thefactorofteachers,thefactorofstudents,andthefactorofevaluation.Thenitisthethirdpart,itmainlygivessomesuggestionsabouthowtoreformthepresentsituationandtoactivetheEnglishclass,thesuggestionmainlyincludesthreeparts.Forexample,creatingascenario,constructahumorandalivelyatmosphereintheclass,inthisprocess,wecanusetheintuitiveteaching,takingadvantageofthepictures,thestickfigures,ortheobjects,orcollectingsomefunnytalesandstoriestomakethegoalofactivingtheatmospherecometrue.Thesecondwayisdesigninggamestoactiveteaching,intheteaching,wecanseizethemaincharacteristicofteenagers,todesignmanydifferentkindsofgamestostimulatetheirlearninginterestandtoactivetheclassatmosphere,suchasguessinggames,binggo,roleplay,groupworkandsoon.Andthelastbutnottheonlywayisusingmultimediatoassistteaching,wecantakeadvantagethemultimedia,choosesomemusicormovieswhatarerelatedtotheteachingtoplayintheclass,itnotonlycanactivetheclaas,butalsocanmakethestudentsandteachersrelax,andsoastogetagoodresult.Thefourthistheconclusion,ithighlightstheimportanceofchangingthepresentsituationinruralhighschool,andrestatethethesis.

Duringthedeveloping21stcentury,theculturalcommunicationbetweenChinaandwesternisstrengtheninggradually,andtheeconomicisdevelopingfastly,allthishighlightstheimportanceofeducation.However,English,astheinternationallanguage,itisthebridgetocommunicatetheworld.Sothatpeoplepaidmoreandmoreattentiononit.Withthepromotingofteachingreform,theEnglishteachingisalsotakenagreatstep,butthepresentsituationofEnglishteachinginruralhighschool,wherethestudentsisaccountingforthetotalnumber’s2/3ofjuniorhighschool,isverybadly.
I.ThepresentsituationofEnglishteachinginruralhighschool
Theteachersinruralhighschoolarelackofprofessionalknowledge,theirteachingconceptisold,theyarelackoftheawarenessofEnglish’scommunicativefunction.IntheEnglishteaching,theypaymoreattentionontheteachingofknowledge,andpaylessattentiononthecommunicativefunction,moreexplaining,lesscommunication,moreChinese,lessEnglish,theteachingmethodsaresingleandboring.Inthewholeofteaching,teachersareinthedominateposition,andthestudentsarethepassiverecipients,theyarejustlistening,memorizing,watchingmachinery,fewstudentsspeakingEnglish,theclassenthusiasmislow,manystudentscan’tanswerthequestionsbecauseofshyinthefaceoftheirclassmates,theclassatmosphereislifeless,itleadstotheeffectofEnglishteachingisunsatisfactory,theteachers’teachingisnotoriginal,andthestudentsarealsonotinterestedintheteachers’teaching.AllthesearebeingobstaclesintheEnglishteaching,thereasonisonthestudentsorontheteachers?
Fromtheteachingpractice,Ideeplyrealizedthatifyouwanttoimproveteachingefficiency,thefirststepistoactiveyourclass,youshouldmakethestudentsinterestedinyourclass.SofirstlywemustanalysisthereasonsthatcausethepresentsituationofEnglishclassinruralhighschool,andtakecorrespondingmeasurestostimulatethestudents’learninginterest,makethembethemainbodyoflearning.
II.Thereasonsthatcausethepresentsituation
A.Economicconstraints
Duringthedeveloping21stcentury,economicdevelopingisveryimportant,itiscloselyrelatedtotheeducation.However,inruralhighschool,theeconomicdevelopmentisverybackward,Thankstothatitisconstrainedbytheleveloftheruraleconomy,teachingfacilitiesintheruralhighschoolareshortage,itislearnedthattherearenotenoughteachers,dormitories,libraries,instrumentrooms,andmodernteachingfacilitiesinmorethan60%highschoolinrural,theteachingenvironmentisverybadly,objectively,theEnglishteachingdevelopmentinruralhighschoolwasconstrainedbythesefactors,thentoaffecttheEnglishteachingeffect.
B.Theeffectofexam-orientededucation
Undertheexam-rientededucation,theupsurgeofteachingreformingwashigh-spiritedenthusiasm.Butthebannerofexam-orientededucationisfall,highscoreisstillonlytheevaluationcriteria,underthecriteria,theteachingmaterials,thepurposesofexamination,theevaluationmeansforteachersandsoon,allofallarestillremainsintheoriginalpatters,therefore,eachteachingreformingisfailure.
C.Thefactorofteachers
Theteachers’qualityinruralhighschoolistotallydifferent,theirteachingconceptisfallbehind,teachingwaysaretooconservative,mostofthemdidn’tmasterthemodernteachingmethods,theirawarenessofself-improvementislow,thedevelopmentofupdatingknowledge,ofprofessionalcompetenceisslowly,manyteachersinruralhighschoolcan’torganizeteachinginEnglish.
D.Thefactorofstudents
Bytheaffectionofteachingways,ofteachingpatters,ofthequalityofteachers,oftheviewofteachers’highscore,mostofthestudentsinruralhighschoolarenotinterestedinthelearningofEnglish,evenresisttolearnit,students’resultbecomespolarization,somestudents’scoreisveryhigh,others’isverylow.
E.Thefactorofevaluation
Inruralhighschool,thescoreisstillonlytheevaluationcriteria,thesocietyevaluatetheschoolwiththerateofenteringahighschool,theheadmasterintheschoolevaluatetheteacherswithscores,andtheparentsmeasurestheteacherswithscores,too.sotheteacherslocatethestudentswithscores,likethis,theunscientificandone-sidednessofevaluationbringsgreatpressuretotheteachersandstudents,thereby,itcombatstheenthusiasmofteachersvirtually.
III.ThemethodstoreformthepresentsituationandtoactivetheEnglishclass
Inthelearningprogress,“interestisthebestteacher”.Asformanystudentswhodidn’twanttostudyEnglish,thekeyreasonisthattheyarelackofinterest,asanEnglishteacher,youmustbringupthestudents’studyinterestforEnglish,tostimulatetheirenthusiasmoflearning,makethembethemainbodyinthelearningpositivelyandactively.So,weshouldtakemanydifferentwaystostimulatetheirstudyinterest,toactiveourEnglishclass.
A.Createascenario,constructahumorandalivelyatmosphereintheclass
Thenewcurriculumstandardsemphasizesthattheteachingprogressistheinteractionprogressthatteacher-studentintercourseanddevelopjointly.Intheteachingprogress,teachersarethecooperators,theguides,theparticipantsforstudents.Therefore,itshouldbetheteachers’commonawarenessthattobringupthestudentstoexplorehappily,totakepartintheclassactivelyandtolearntothink.ofcourse,thestudents’learningwaysalsoshouldbedifferentgradually.AsanEnglishteacherinthe21stcentury,whatshouldwedotomakethestudents’learningwaysdiversify?
Withtheteachingmaterialsreforminggradually,thenewEnglishmaterials“GOFORIT”,whichputsforwardnewdemandonthenewteachersinthe21stcentury,foritsarrangementstructure,itsfeaturesisfollowing:
1.morewords.
2.morepictures.
3.moreactivities.
4.thematerialthatneedstointegrateistoomuch.
5.thecontentsdesignedinthenewmaterialarecloselylinkedwiththelife
Infaceofthenewmaterials,ifwestillteachthestudentswiththeoriginalteachingmethods,theatmosphereintheEnglishclassmustbeidleandboring,theteachers’teachingandthestudents’learningwillbenotinitsownposition,soinordertofitthenewcurriculumstandards,weshouldchangetheoldteachingmethodsandcombinethefeaturesofthenewmaterials,shouldcreateactivitycontextforthestudentswithtakingdifferentappropriatemeans,andconstructahumorandlivelyatmosphereintheclass,makethestudentshavethefeelingsofpleasureintheirlearning.Asaresult,itnotonlycanactivetheatmosphere,butalsocanactivethestudents’thought,andenrichthestudents’imagination,makethestudents’passionforexploringupsurgegradually,andtotrainstudents’creativepersonality.
However,howtocreateascenario,constructahumorandalivelyatmosphereinEnglishclass,thefollowingissomeexperienceinmyteaching:
1.visualmethod
Inourteaching,wecantakeadvantageoftheactualobject,pictures,stickfigure,andmanyotherusefulteachingmeans,andatthesametime,wealsocanaddsomevividandimaginarylanguage,action,makethestudentsfeelthattheywereimmersive.
Forexample,whenweteachthewords‘thin’and‘fat’,wecanusethestickfigureforvisualteaching.
