AccordingtotherequirementsofDocumentGNKJ[2016]No.238,"NoticeofNationalEnergyAdministrationofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaonReleasingtheFormulation(revision)PlanoftheEnergySectorStandardsin2016",andafterextensiveinvestigationandresearch,summarizationofpracticalexperience,widesolicitationofopinions,thedraftinggrouphasformulatedthiscode.
Themaintechnicalcontentsofthiscodeinclude:
basicrequirements,theselectionofhighvoltageelectricalequipment,thelayoutofhighvoltageelectricalequipment.
Themaintechnicalcontentsrevisedareasfollows:
-Addingtwoterms"assemblytransformer"and"take-overcurrent"
-Addingthecontentsofsolidinsulatedtubularbus-bar,assemblytransformer,auxiliarypowertransformer,electronicvoltagetransformer,electroniccurrenttransformer,insulator,bushing,linetrap,gas-filledalternating-currentmetal-enclosedswitchgear,highvoltagefusesandothercontents.

1.0.2Thiscodeappliestotheselectionandarrangementdesignofhighvoltageelectricalequipmentwithnominalvoltagefrom3kVto750kVfornewlybuilt,reconstructedandexpandedhydropowerplants.
1.0.3Inadditiontothiscode,theselectionandarrangementdesignofhigh-voltageelectricalequipmentinhydropowerplantsshallalsocomplywiththecurrentrelevantstandardsofChina.

3BasicRequirements
3.1GeneralRequirements
3.1.1Theselectionandarrangementofhighvoltageelectricalequipmentshallchoosesafeandreliable,technologicallyadvancedandeconomicalreasonableproducts,Accordingtothespecificconditionsoftheprojectandlong-termdevelopment.Meanwhilethelayoutschemeshouldbeformulatedaccordingtotherequirementsofclimate,environment,geology,topography,layout,incomingandoutgoinglinemodeandequipmentmanufacturing,operation,maintenance,installationandtransportation.Theprincipleofsavinglandandenergy-savingshouldbefollowedtomeettherequirementsofenvironmentalprotection.Soastoachievereasonabledesign,reliableoperation,convenientinstallationandmaintenance.
3.1.2Highvoltageswitchgearof72.5kVandaboveshouldusegasinsulatedmetal-enclosedswitchgear(GIS).Alsocanusetheairinsulatedswitchgear(AIS)orhybridgasinsulatedmetal-enclosedswitchgear(H-GIS)accordingtospecificengineeringconditions.
