Abstract—ThepaperpresentedthedoubleSwitchedReluctancemotorsparalleldrivesystemfortheelectricaltractioninshearer.Thesystemcomponents,suchastheSwitchedReluctancemotor,themaincircuitofthepowerconverterandthecontroller,weredescribed.Thecontrolstrategiesoftheclosed-looprotorspeedcontrolwithPIalgorithmandbalancingthedistributionoftheloadswithfuzzylogicalgorithmweregiven.Thetestsresultswerealsopresented.ItisshownthattherelativedeviationoftheaverageDCsuppliedcurrentofthepowerconverterintheSwitchedReluctancemotor1andintheSwitchedReluctancemotor2iswithin±10%

I.INTRODUCTION
Theundergroundsurroundingsofthecoalminesareveryexecrable.Oneside,itisthemoist,highdustandinflammablesurroundings.Ontheotherside,thespaceofroadwayislimitedsinceitisnecessarytosavetheinvestmentofexploitingcoalminessothatitisdifficulttomaintaintheequipments.Inthemoderncoalmines,theautomatizationequipmentscouldbeusedwidely.The
faultsoftheautomatizationequipmentscouldaffecttheproductionandthebenefitofthecoalmines.Thesheareristheminingequipmentthatcoalcouldbecutfromthecoalwall.Thetraditionalshearerwasdrivenbythehydrostatictransmissionsystem.Thefaultratioofthehydrostatictransmissionsystemishighsincethefluidinhydrostatictransmissionsystemcouldbepollutedeasily.Thefaultsofthehydrostatictransmissionsystemcouldaffecttheproductionandthebenefitofthecoalminesdirectly.Thefaultratioofthemotordrivesystemislowerthanthatofthehydrostatictransmissionsystem,butitisdifficulttocoolthemotordrivesystemincoalminessincethemotordrivesystemshouldbeinstalledwithintheflameproofenclosureforsafetyprotection.Themotordrivesystemisalsooneofthepivotalpartsintheautomatizationequipments.Thedevelopmentofthenoveltypesofthemotordrivesystemhadbeenattachedimportancetobythecoalmines.TheSwitchedReluctancemotordrivecouldbecomethemainequipmentsforadjustablespeedelectricaldrivesystemincoalmines[1],becauseithasthehighoperationalreliabilityandthefaulttolerantability[2].TheSwitchedReluctancemotordrivemadeupofthedouble-salientpoleSwitchedReluctancemotor,theunipolarpowerconverterandthecontrollerisfirminthemotorandinthepowerconverter.Thereisnobrushstructureinthemotorandnofaultofambipolarpowerconverterinthepowerconverter[3][4].TheSwitchedReluctancemotordrivecouldbeoperatedattheconditionoflackedphasesfaultdependedontheindependenceofeachphaseinthemotorandthepowerconverter[5].Thereisnowindingintherotorsothatthereisnocopperlossinthelossandthereisonlylittleironlossintherotor.Itiseasytocoolthemotorsinceitisnotnecessarytocooltherotor.TheshearerdrivenbytheSwitchedReluctancemotordrivehadbeendeveloped.Thepaperpresentedthedevelopedprototype.
II.SYSTEMCOMPONENTS
ThedevelopedSwitchedReluctancemotorsdrivefortheelectricaltractioninshearerisatypeofthedoubleSwitchedReluctancemotorsparalleldrivesystem.ThesystemismadeupoftwoSwitchedReluctancemotors,acontrolboxinstalledthepowerconverterandthecontroller.TheadoptedtwoSwitchedReluctancemotorsareallthree-phase12/8structureSwitchedReluctancemotor,whichwereshowninFigure1.ThetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorswerepackingbytheexplosion-proofenclosure,respectively.Theratedoutputpowerofonemotoris40KWattherotorspeed1155r/min,andtheadjustablespeedrangeisfrom100r/minto1500r/min.

Thepowerconverterconsistsoftwothree-phaseasymmetricbridgepowerconverterinparallel.TheIGBTswereusedasthemainswitches.Three-phase380VACpowersourcewasrectificatedandsuppliedtothepowerconverter.ThemaincircuitofthepowerconverterwasshowninFigure2

.Inthecontroller,thereweretherotorpositiondetectioncircuit,thecommutationcircuit,thecurrentandvoltageprotectioncircuit,themainswitches’gatedrivercircuitandthedigitalcontrollerforrotorspeedclosed-loopandbalancingthedistributionoftheloads.
III.CONTROLSTRATEGY
ThetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorcouldalldrivetheshearerbythetransmissionoutfitinthesametractionguidewaysothattherotorspeedofthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorscouldbesynchronized.
Theclosed-looprotorspeedcontrolofthedoubleSwitchedReluctancemotorsparalleldrivesystemcouldbeimplementedbyPIalgorithm.IntheSwitchedReluctancemotor1,thetriggeredsignalsofthemainswitchesinthepowerconverteraremodulatedbyPWMsignal,thecomparisonofthegivenrotorspeedandthepracticalrotorspeedaremadeandthedutyratioofPWMsignalareregulatedasfollows,

IntheSwitchedReluctancemotor2,thetriggeredsignalsofthemainswitchesinthepowerconverterarealsomodulatedbyPWMsignal.ThebalancingthedistributionoftheloadsbetweenthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorscouldbeimplementedbyfuzzylogicalgorithm.Inthefuzzylogicregulator,therearetwoinputcontrolparameters,oneisthedeviationoftheaverageDCsuppliedcurrentofthepowerconverterbetweenthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotors,andtheotheristhevariationofthedeviationoftheaverageDCsuppliedcurrentofthepowerconverterbetweenthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotors.TheoutputcontrolparameteristheincrementofthedutyratioofthePWMsignaloftheSwitchedReluctancemotor2.TheblockdiagramofthedoubleSwitchedReluctancemotorsparalleldrivesystemfortheelectricaltractioninshearerwasshowninFigure3.

Thereisadecisionformsofthefuzzylogicalgorithmbasedontheaboveprinciples,whichwasstoredintheprogrammestoragecellofthecontroller.
WhilethedifferenceofthedistributionoftheloadsbetweenthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorscouldbegot,thedutyratioofPWMsignaloftheSwitchedReluctancemotor2willberegulatedbasedonthedecisionformsofthefuzzylogicalgorithmandthedistributionoftheloadsbetweenthetwoSwitchedReluctancemotorscouldbebalanced.
