127).“Ontheonehand,languageasanintegralpartofhumanbeing,permeateshisthinkingandwayofviewingtheworld,languagebothexpressesandembodiesculturalreality.Ontheother,language,asaproductofculture,helpspermeatetheculture,andthechangesinlanguageusesreflecttheculturalchangesinreturn”.(DaiWeidong,HeZhaoxiong,2002:
130).Languageisthebaseofentireculture,anditisonlyinlanguagethatculturecanbewell-presentedandhandeddownfromgenerationtogeneration.Ontheotherhand,languageisinfluencedandshapedbyculture;itreflectslanguage.Animalwords,asapartoflanguage,alsocloselyconnectwithculture.Tosomeextend,animalwordsreflectcharacteristicsofcultureandpredictthedevelopingorientationofculture.
2.Reviewthecultureandanimalwords
Animalwordsgottheirestablishedconnotationsinculture.Therefore,animalwordscanreflecttheculture.AndwhenwemakecomparisonbetweenanimalwordsinChineseandEnglish,wecanfindtheculturedisparities.
