socks作名词意为“短袜”,是sock的复数形式,是成双成对的物品,一般以复数形式出现,
作主语时谓语动词用原形。
类似这样的词还有:
shorts(短裤),trousers(裤子),shoes(鞋),
glasses(眼镜),gloves(手套)等。
Thosesocksareblackandwhite.那双短袜是黑白相间的。
3.look的用法
(1)动词,表示“看”,单独使用时,后面不能接介词;反之,若后面接看的对象,必须接
介词at。

汽车来了。
LookatthemapofChina.看中国地图。
(2)作连系动词,意为“看起来”,后常接形容词。
Helooksveryhappy.他看起来很高兴。

这是把物品递给某人常说的一句话。

二、形容词的基本用法
形容词是表示人或事物的性质、特征的一类词。
如big,white,interesting,difficult等。
在
句中一般作定语和表语。
1.形容词作定语
定语是修饰、限定某一名词或代词的部分。
形容词作定语,一般用在某个名词或代词之前,
起到修饰、限定该名词的作用。
Iwanttobuyagreenskirt.我想买一条绿色的短裙。
2.形容词作表语
表语是句中放在be动词及sound等连系动词后的部分,起到陈述主语性质、特征的作用。
形容词作表语同样放在句中be动词及sound等连系动词之后。
Thestorysoundsinteresting.这个故事听起来很有趣。
形容词在句中作定语或作表语是形容词最基本的用法。
